Server admins have an option to "throw" players in the air. Mainly used to stop baserapers etc...

For the umpeenth time, that vid is SP and a hoax.

As to the random parachuting, never seen it, but I have seen on Karkand tanks driving to the hotel randomly launch 500 feet in the air when passing the pipes. Happened to me once too. Maybe related?

Hacks this, Hacks that...Jeez, that video is just a mod and its in single player. If somebody had hacks like that they'd be hardware banned in an instant.

Perhaps someone figured out how to do the parachute teleport trick in multiplayer. I think the original poster of the video in this thread was showing this vidieo to see if that's what the person was referring to, not that its the hack necessarily.

If someone has figured out how to do that hack in multiplayer, we should start seeing more and more of these guys soon enough (they are easy to spot).

If you notice though in that vid (and the forums that were originally posted with it) you have to use your 'chute first. Such as jump off a high enough place to be able to pull your 'chute, then you would be launched very high.

What he refers to is people simply appearing out of mid air or suddenly launching very high from ground level.

im not sure im buying this......the potential for abuse is too great i think for EA to impliment such a function, and it would be well known, and well abused by now

Who said anything about EA? The servertool used by most is BF2CC. Many of the extra commands offered are rarely used.

Anyway, here's proof. Unranked server, punkbuster and punksbusted enabled.

I would laugh if i saw this. then if i wasnt laughing hard enough to wet myself, i'd grab a couple of screenies, type a notice into global, and then take the defenceless little soul down as he parachutes lazily to earth.

It happened today. In my clans server, which I help admin so theres no way the server was responsible for it to happen.

I was at the MEC Helipad in Sharqui Peninsula, suddenly i see a US troop flash by (super speed :laugh: ) and dissapear. So im like "hmmmm"..I apply for commander and do a UAV. I notices he is in the helipad, but I dont see him. Took the chopper, went up a couple of hundred feet and there he was chuting down.

This is weird, but funny

In a few Days, the Gamplay on most Maps was destroyed.
