taking off in aircraft

i was wondering if when you just get in an aircraft if it helps to turn on the afterburner. does it make the airplane take off faster?

It makes the plane go faster put pulling back on the joystick makes it take off faster.

Your other option is to have someone warm up the aircraft by revving up the engines, they jump out and you jump in, and you will lauch like a catapault.

as far as i know, it doesnt speed you up until you are actually moving, but i might be wrong. never timed it.

afterburners dont increase your speed much at take-off, but it does make your plane accelerate faster.
