    Large seemingly random FPS drop

WEll, I'll be walking around on a map with an FPS of 60+ and then all of a sudden, it will drop to about 15 FPS...WTF?!!

    Specs:
    AMD X2 4400+
    2x 7800GTX in SLi
    2GB of RAM

My settings are 1600x1200 all high, yet I have tried lowering options...to no avail. Latest drivers, all updated including audio and motherboad.

    HElp?

    Any ideas?

I have this same problem, were you able to fix it?

      2 questions:

Have you tried any of the older drivers or the beta ones to see if you get a more stable FPS?

Does this also happen when you have only one of the 7800's in?

I know you're referring to the OP Merlin, but I have only one 7800GT. I haven't upgraded drivers or changed my computer in any significant way in a long while, but this problem just cropped up out of nowhere. I'm currently running the 9133 beta though. Have been for quite some time. I haven't tried downgrading them yet though.

I just reinstalled BF2 last night and the problem is still there, but it only creeps up after I've been playing for a bit I think. I wonder if it could be heat related. I've got 4 fans running plus the CPU fan and the built in GPU fan and the PSU ventilation fan.
