Underappreciated maps

From skimming through threads, and posts in this, and most other Battlefeild forums, it's pretty clear that most players enjoy the urban maps, expecially Karkand, and enjoy the fast paced action.

Is anybody else like me, though?

I really enjoy some of the less played maps.

24/7 Karkand
24/7Sharqui
24/7 Mashtuur
24/7 City Maps

It's easy to find those servers, because there are so many of them. It really is a shame more people don't broaden their horizons and play some different maps.

For instance - my favourite map, would have to be Songhua Stalemate. I love the jungle, the fog, the joy of staying hidden in the thick brush.. I think the map is ace..

Too bad nobody plays it!

So, anybody else have some maps that they absolutely love, but don't play because they are too hard to find? Maybe you just can't draw yourself away from Karkand and force yourself to play a more wide open, vehicle based map..

Any other underappreciated map favourites?

idk...gulf of oman? (not sure if its underplayed) but i love it cuz of all the fun times i had during the demo while experimenting with everything and vehicles and its like the only map where i had a full good 25vs25 ppl battle on the beaches betwene the control points...no close combat until we finally assualted

Gulf of Oman has become my favorite map. It saddens me that I cannot find a good 24/7 server ever since 1.3 That map is fun no matter what you want to do

Fighter Jet? Plenty of 'em
Bomber? Got that!
Helo? For sure!
Armour Galore? Apc heaven!
Infantry? Got that at the front bases!

I mean, what else can you ask for?

I like Fu She Pass and Operation Clean Sweep. I would also love to see a chineese only server which would feature the maps with the chineese army. . . . . . . . .Red

I'm probaby in the minority on this, but.. I'd have to say Kubra Dam is my fav map.

Wake has been a popular map also. The Zatar wetlands, oilfields, stalemate, and those maps are getting less popular

dooshy go to www.moongamers.com its mostly oman aka 24/7 but if the admins want to change it it changes but in the maybe 50? rounds I have played at that server I have never seen it on anything but oman :)

I think that shonghua is a great map, its just that its harder to get a lot of points so people stray away from it. Next to Sharqi, my second favorite is Daqing oilfields.

I hate large maps Cause I get pwned alot on em! Urban maps all the way!

Il tell you why the majority of people like urban maps including oman and sharqi.....

Its because big maps favor jets and choppers....especially choppers....

It just plain sucks to be an infantryman or in armor on big maps because you many times have to spend 5 mins walking to a point just to get a bomb from a j-10 shoved down your face...

Or if you are in armor...if theres a halfway decent gunner/pilot in the air you won't get one point without having a tv shoved into your tank/apc....

See urban maps...aa is concentrated....and theres plenty of cover for vodniks to hit the helis....

But the main thing is people just like to fight and would rather walk 20 yards to the fight in karkand than hop in a fav on dalian and travel 200 yards...

sad to say, my fav maps r karkand, wake, sharqi. they jus seem nicer, dunno y...

Good ideas here guys, if you know the address of a good 24/7 server that's not Wake or Karkand can you post it here? Then we can all enjoy a little "fresh air"
