Unsupported hardware can do some strange stuff, it wouldnt surprise me if it really was the cause.

P4 2.5 - 2x 512 ram - geforce 6200 oc 256mb ram - deskstar 160 gig 7200rpm HD - liteon DvD-RW DL drive 16x - C-Media 5.1 sound card - Logitech premium stereo headphones with Mic (dosent have a model num)

Frustrating isn't it Bradford. I have the same issue. Have a decent pc with a mic that works with every other program and game known to man, at least that I've ever ran on it but my mic doesn't work with BF2 either. Mine wasn't recognized by the game at the voice setup screen either. Don't take it personally, I promise you this is an inherrant problem with BF2. I know it is as I know other people with the same problem, other members of my clan have the same issue also. Would be nice if they'd fix it on the next patch.

Well the frustrating part is that EA's solution to this problem is blaming other hardware in my PC, Rather than looking into there Known buggy software. I spent an hour talking to my computer manufacturer last night, And they told me basically that EA is full of **** if there blaming my Mic trouble on my "unsupported" video card. My mic is set up properly, Works on everything except bf2, so they said the problem is not my hardware, but there software.
