We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
My mic just wont work in Bf2... It works fine with Msn and ive ran the audio wizard in the control panel and it worked fine. I ran BF2voiceSetup.exe in the Bf2 folder and i worked just fine, Then jumped into Battlefield 2 and it dosent work.... Im using my primary mic port and have the latest sound card drivers. This is driving me nuts, If anyone has any suggestion's please help.
Im using a C-media CMI8738/C3DX PCI running latest drivers.
Yes it is, Ive tried turning it off then back on again, and nothing.. When i try to test it the bar dosent move at all, But it works fine with all other programs, And in the controll panel....Just updated dirvers again thinking somethin was corrupt, but no luck.
I have had a similar problem try this:
In ur control pannel go to Sound speach and Audio Devices Propities
Then select the Voice tab and select test hardware, and run though the program
then reconfigure the BF2 VOIP program.
I done this and it worked.

Ive done that...And it worked fine when i set it up in the control panel, then i run Bf2 and nothing....When i run the voicesetup in the Bf2 folder it works fine as well, But i start Bf2...and nothing.... I just spent 30 dollars on this thing and only reason i got it was for Bf2, this is driving me nuts
ok then, does your mic make any wierd noises when u start bf2 or join a server, and do you have any other mics you can test?
Nope no weird sound or nuttin, And this Mic is brand new...It works with all my other voice software, Just wont work in Bf2.... But it works fine when i run the BF2voiceSetup in the Bf2 folder, can set my threshold and such, But then i start up bf2 and nothing. I go into audio and when i click test mic i get no sound.
Mabey this has somthing to do with the 1.3 patch god knows what dice thought of...

Goodluck
I have tried messing with all the audio options, software, hardware, EAX, ect ect and nothing.....When i try to talk to others they see my voice icon thingy pop up, but nobody can hear me...no sound at all.... I have no idea why it wouldnt work, It works for everything else, Even the voice setup in bf2 folder works, It just wont work ingame......
And i wouldnt know if it had something to do with the patch as i never had a mic before 1.3......But searching the forums i dont see anyone blaming any mic trouble on the 1.3
My mic will not work in BF2. It is set up properly, latest sound drivers installed, Dxdiag says it works, I can talk to people on MSN and yahoo, VOIP is enabled in options screen, I run the Voicesetup.exe file in the BF2 folder and it works fine, can hear myself and everything, I save it....then launch BF2 and nothing. I click the "start mic test" in the audio options and there's no sound, my boost mic gain option is also greyed out...I just got the Mic yesterday so i cannot blame this on 1.3 as i didnt have a mic before it, But is it a known 1.3 bug or something? Please help, Just spent 30 bucks on this thing for BF2 and it works on everything but bf2!
check your sound setings both in windows and in the sound card controls
make sure mic is set for the input and not muted
if u have a capture device sometimes you have to rejig the settings after using it i know i do
Mic is setup properly, It works with everything except BF2. I ran the setup from the control panel 3 times already, ive unplugged and jiggled the whole pc (maby to hard :P ) Ive uninstalled and reinstalled sound card drivers, DXdiag says its working fine, every program works fine with the Mic, It works on my wifes PC so im sure its not the mic itself. I have tried muting and unmuting...Its like once i start bf2 the Mic vanishes
I have been trying to find out why my Mic just wont work in Bf2, I have at least 3 posts here, And have been talking with there tech support since yesterday. After ive done everything they recomended, including contacting my PC manafuacturer, they blame my Mic not working in Bf2 on my "unsopported video card". My sound card MF says its the BF game itself, My PC MF says its the game, I contacted logitech, and they says its gotta be the software as well, So i bring all this to EA and they respond " we are sorry but your video card is unsopported"....WTF??? Can someone please tell me how an unsupported video card would have anything to do with my Microhpone not working with battlefield2 (it works great with everything on my PC, It even works on the Bf2 voice setup.exe, But not BF2). So can my so called "Unsupported" video card cause my mic not to function in ONLY battlefield?
Unfortunately, we may not be able to fix this issue any further as your video card is unsupported. This could be the cause of the issue. We will not be able to identify if this is true but since the troubleshooting steps did not fix it, we will never know for sure. We ask for apologies on this.
