I pay for EF, I download Ea Dowloader but the bugger won't install. It gets all the way to creating a blank icon,( almost the whole install) then vanishs. No trace of the install at all. I've tried asking EA, but I'm not getting much joy there. Any ideas...

cancel your credit card payment because your purchase wasn't delivered in good condition. I bet they will get in touch with you then. Ring your card company and they should reverse the payment for you. -

Have you tried to play it? I ask cause it does not install an icon. This is just a booster pack and uses your default bf2 install to load it up.Originally posted by Zia
Look inside the game and you should have 3 more maps. Or, just try to join an EF server. Remember the maps are only 32 player, so search for those with your filters.Comment

The downloader prog should be in the Ea Games folder i think , but it is'nt. The EF servers are highlighted red but I hav'nt tried logging onto 1 though . I am in New Zealand and I'm not sure if this booster is accessible worldwide , I'm hereing some odd regional bloking issues.Comment

Here is the default EAD location:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader
As far as the EAD and other countries, sorry, cant help there.
The main thing is to make sure that your player account (gamespy ID) is set correctly in the EA account you login with to the EAD. It uses this info to allow your player access to load the EF maps.

Yep my prob is definatly with the downloader installation. It gets all the way thru to the "Pulishing Product Infomation" phase (almost a full loading bar) then vanishs as if nothing ever happened. I tried accessing the red highlighted servers but it comes back as "ya ain't got dem maps", so nothing snuck thru under the radar...any help will be appreciated as I suspect Armoured Fury will also be a EA Downloader only program.Comment

Yep AF is an EAD download only. Got it, installed it, played it for 4 hours.
We had 9 players that we usually play with and everyone was able to get it with no problem.
Make sure that your system is free of viruses. If you do have anti-virus running, you may want to turn it off when you try to install EF to see if that helps.
Also check for spyware. I like to use Spybot S&D for the basic spyware removal.
