    Thank you's and shoutouts!

I made this thread because I believe others might have had some positive expericences in BF2 when you were 1st starting to figure this game out. Did someone with much more skill take you "under their wing"? Maybe you too would like to take the time to give props to players who helped you out.

    Here is mine:

He goes by the name of uQ.Ace.of.Spades. I had the priviledge of being his gunner a few nites ago and let me tell you, he gave me all the opportunities I needed to kills things. He had awesome control of the helo and knew exactly where to go everytime. He even took the time to try and teach a noob like me a thing or two. He was extra patient with my noobititis. He eventually had me piloting around maps and getting a bunch of kills and assists.

As a noob to BF2, I really learned a lot in the the few rounds we played together. Plus, I got to feel what it is like to take over a map and stir things up. It was quite fun and it has imspired me to try harder at being a good pilot. If you guys ever get a chance, fly with this guy (mainly directed to the noobs like me; I am sure all you 'experts' will be posting how you can pwn this and pwn that...).

It is moments like these that truly make BF2 worth playing. And what gets me past all the frustrations of these so called patches!

If you ever read this uQ.Ace.of.Spades, thank you!

I know this sounds ghey, but with soooo many a**holes in BF2, it is really nice to meet the few who are not.

any player who takes time out to help a nublet deserves good mention i think. especially as it means they wont get as many kills that round!! :o seriously tho, its good, it shows that people dont care about rank or anything else, and play to have fun and help others have fun too.

      Re: Thank you's and shoutouts!

We were all noobs once, I figured most of the things out myself and how the game is "played" online. I had to get used to the game first, so before I made an online account, i played single player to get the physics of the game. I played on unraned and got the hang of it, but I downloaded a patch and now started playing on ranked. I pretty knew the key commands of the game, joining a squad, how to be commander, chat, driving and entering vehicles, more. Of course I suck at flying a jet before, just as 2/3 of the newbies who got the game. So heres my only story i rember of a pilot teaching me. We were USMC on Oman. I was a cobra gunner along with my squad leader as pilot, i was doing fair. The pilot hovered and there was an APC on the beach. I was firing bullets at it, the pilot went on TS and said" press right click to use TV guided and aim for the APC" from now on i became a better gunner.
