    Re: victims and enemies

If these stats never update, why are they always the first thing people point to when declaring someone a statpadder? :p

      Re: victims and enemies

The bf2s does have one that keeps count. My 'Favourite Victim' according to EA is some guy called AccoSk8 who I have killed 5 times (This has been so since launch round about).

However I have one guy that I killed 11 times in one round named xnaterx just under that - I remember it well that day, poor guy was an opposing sniper and just couldn't get me no matter how hard he tried so surely he would be my favourite victim? I have no idea how it works, or even if it does.

I'm the same, I have no top 10 lists for either, and my Favorite victim is only a (6), yet I get loads more than that on a regular basis.

One time I was on Warlord and these same three guy's must of been in a squad, kept grappling up onto a roof and raping the base over from the TV station, but each time I would either get all three on the roof or all three as they were on the rope climbing up, and I did it at least 7 times.

So if that doesn't deserve putting in my top 10 list then I don't know what does.

        But guess what, it never.

          Re: victims and enemies

There is something screwed in the victims list, my nº1 victim is one guy that was piloting a chopper, and was teaming with a gunner, the gunner doesn´t appear in my victims list.
They were both killed the same number of times and at the same time (doh). So why one is in my List and the other no?

            Re: victims and enemies

Grena, I would guess it's because sometimes the passengers in a chopper that you destroy get recorded as having been teamkilled by their pilot. Therefore you could have killed the chopper (and the pilot), say, ten times, but if twice the gunner was recorded as having been teamkilled by the pilot, you would only have (officially) killed the gunner 8 times. Therefore the pilot is your favourite victim, not the gunner. Another possibility is that he didn't have the same gunner every single time.

Anyway. Let me try and explain. There is no requirement for the victim / enemy to have killed you or been killed by you a given number of times. One is enough.

Favourite victim is the person you have killed the most number of times in a single round on an official EA server. Worst enemy is the person who has killed you the most number of times in a single round on an EA server. If you kill a guy 12 times in one round and 8 the next, and he becomes your favourite victim, you're creditted with 12 times, not eight - it only counts the number of times you kill someone in each round, not the number of times you've killed them ever.

Some stats sites, such as bf2s, give you "more enemies" and "more victims". These are people who have you listed as their favourite victim or worst enemy, regardless of if they are your favourite victim or worst enemy or not. It's not like the "runner up spots" from your favourite victim lists. For this to work however, the other player must also have a profile at the stat site you're using. This is because this is not an EA generated stat, it's instead a script run by the stat site, matching up victims and enemies - but obviously that script can only check that site's database.

Let me try to clarify with an example. Your favourite victim could have been killed by you ten times. You may have killed someone more than ten times in a single round, but if it wasn't on an EA server, they won't be your favourite victim. If you then kill someone eight times in a round and become their worst enemy, they will appear under "more victims" on your bf2s profile, provided that that person also has their profile on bf2s. If they're not on bf2s, they won't appear under "more victims". If you don't become their worst enemy (say if their worst enemy has killed them twelve times instead of the eight times you managed it), they won't show up on your "more victims" list, even though the eight times you killed them might be more than some of the other people who are on that list.

Enemies works in the same way, but the opposite of victims.

Clear as mud? Hope that helped... If someone can paraphrase that more simply, please feel free, because I'm not sure that's as clear as it could have been... Lol

GAV, I think I understood. But I have one more question.

The favorite victim is recorded only in EA official Servers and not in Ranked servers?

Yeah It's 5+.. but I'm nearly positive that those stats come thru borked, because I've counted times that I've killed some guys, it went over 5 and they didn't show up.

It's on the official EA ranked servers. Not on other ranked clan servers.

Boots - no, it's not 5+. I've seen many people who have favourite victims and worst enemies listed with less than five kills. And as I said, there are reasons why you can kill someone more and still not have them show up as "favourite victim" or in "more victims" - such as being on a clan server at the time and not an EA Official server, or because they're not listed on the database of the stats site you're using.

I don't think you are correct Gav on the "Official EA Ranked Servers". I haven't played much on those. My lists are populated by people playing on a private ranked server that I play regularly. My favorite victim recently changed, but I haven't played an EA server in months.
