    A few questions...

    I have recently got broadband and been playing BF2 online. Well I got a few questions about it...

    1. How do I get my unlocks? I have moved up a rank and I thought you got an unlock everytime you went up a rank. Or is it only the higher ranks that I get unlocks?

    2. How do I punish? I dont want to purposly stand infront of jets but when someone tks me for a jet or something how do I punish? I was on a server and people were being punished. I got tked by my own team but I had no option to punish.

    3. Is there anyway I can lower the time it takes the "Vertify Client Data"? I heard that there are ways of doing this but couldn't find any.

    4. Is this the right place to ask these questions? I wasnt sure if this goes here or in support. Support looked more like problems people have not questions.

    I keep getting kicked for having a high ping of 150ish. Why do they keep doing this? What does my ping have to do with anything?

      That will tell you at which ranks you receive unlocks.

      2. You should get a message at the bottom of the screen asking if you want to punish the TK'er - then, just press 'Page Down'

      3. Not really, besides getting a faster HD or more RAM. Also, if you can, try and join servers running on Linux (look on the left of the server name, and you should either see a gray box (Windows) a gray box with a 64 on it (Windows 64) or a penguin (Linux) - Linux servers never verify client data.

      4. Seems like the right place.

          1. You should get your unlocks, as you move up in ranks. SOmetimes servers will not have unlocks available to choose, even if you have them.
          2. Page up or Page down. I believe it says this on your screen when youve been TK`d.
          3.Dunno, increasing my ram from 1gig to two fixed it for me, until this latest patch.
          4. I think you are more likely to be harrased for not spending the day searching the forums.

              Hello mate and welcome to the site!
              1. My second account has got to corporal and I have two unlocks, so you should have at least one (I think). Sometimes these things take an annoying amount of time to catch up though. Logging on and playing a bit may help.
              2. Servers have the option of turning punishments on or off. If it is an option for you to punish then a message will appear at the bottom of your screen asking you if you wish to punish or forgive (page up/down) when you get TK'd.
              3. That is a P/B issue. You are better off doing a search in the help forums on the site for a better answer than I can give you (sorry!).
              4. Yes. TBH, most people ask or post here first anyway although the help forums are a goldmine for information. An admin will probably point you in the correct direction if you need it.

                                  You can search ping and it`s affects on your gaming on google for a complete understanding. Basically, your ping is higher than that server will allow. Try joining servers, where your ping is below 100.

                                          Yes the search button is your friend (and it really works). LOL. Welcome and another fine site is Tweaks.com They have sections on how to tweak for better game (BF2) performance and also how to get your load times down to bare minimum.
