it would appear bf2 is rapidly turning into ea's now unpopular mohaa!!!!!! these guy's are messing up patches {nothing new } but this is not a flame ea thread as there are plenty of those around this is a anti hack thread. for those of us who are clean and determined to stay clean it is sad news that punkbuster is losing its war on online cheats. A online website called **************** is providing streaming cheats to the public however this cheat is free but you need to subscribe to their forum in order to download their hax. cant punkbuster do anything about this site? ie close it down?it would appear not and to top it all these punks who provide the hax have published punkbuster reps addresses and phone numbers on their forum. come on pb help us out we love the game and want to keep playing but what chance do us little guy's got against these people? so for any admins whose servers arent streaming screen shots to pb sort it out its the only way to stop these punks.

its not that you need an admin present but if the server is not registered to pb than they dont stream screen shots. at present only 3 % of servers ar estreaming screen shots.

I blame the Game Genie, Game shark, and the damn gaming magazines that have been leaking cheats to the younger generations to the point that they think it`s acceptable behaviour.

Punkbuster are not a legal entity and there is nothing illegal concerning game hacks, just against EULA therefore they cannot shut down the site, only subscribe and blacklist the code cave, you can never stop hackers unfortunatly, private hacks (ie those made by 1 person for himself to use only) will never be detected

admins can tell by the screenshots they recieve fron cheaters. cos as far as i am aware they dont have a screen shot spoofer out yet. just a shame nothing can be done about this, its a sad situation for the rest of us who earn our rank by good old fashioned clean gameplay. its beyond me why they feel they need to cheat as they cant look upon their rank as a achievement. but i reckon if enough of us bf2 players get together we could do something. what you think?

play in a server that runs PUNKBUSTED software it is a secondary hack detection system that will catch the streaming hax.

i only know of one and its in australia and they have sent over 40 people packing in the last 4 - 5 months.

good community of players that are smart so a hack gets seen and comment on just as they get kicked and banned

mate, you can always adjust your browser search filter to only show servers with punkbuster....

i think the azman was on servers with pb but was concerned that it was being breached (which it is ) now what i was saying is that there are some servers that run punkbusted ( different software ) and it has the ability to detect the multi hax and streaming hax that punky cant.

I never knew cheaters sent their screenshots to admins...interesting. Have you ever heard of a little program called "photoshop"?
I think in the near future EA will start doing alot more about cheating and working with punkbuster even more. I think that with the release of this last patch, EA is starting to think differently about how they do things.

In the gaming world they are but not the professional, buisness world....if that makes sense...

Wow you guys are over reacting. Punkbuster works better than you think. I have been around. Not to many people at all know how to code their own hacks and as soon as one is made public pb is very fast to react. Also admined servers sometimes kick good players thinking that they are hacking. Had it happen to some buddies of mine.

Umm... the screenshots can't be photoshopped. Punkbuster takes them unannounced and automatically sends them up to the servers. Admins can review them and then lets Punksbusted know of cheaters, and those cheaters will be banned from all PsB protected servers. Go read up on www.punksbusted.com if you still don't understand.

PB also falls short because it doesn't perm ban cheaters - just silly little 2 minute bans. PsB perm bans cheaters detected by PB across all PsB protected servers.
