sound dies

when i first start up the game. the sound is fine, like in the opening demo. but then when i go to log in, it dies, and it doesnt work at all after that. i tried re installing it but still nothing, help?

What are you using sound, onboard or a card, and what are your audio settings ingame?

When you reinstalled, did you use the option to delete your profiles?

If you didn't the the problem might still be in your profile setting.

Try deleting the Profiles dir in ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\ You can always retrive your account again from with the Retrive option in the logon screen in BF2.

if you have an x-fi, make sure its on gaming mode, then go into audio options and change it back to x-fi and hit apply.

if you dont, go into your audio options in bf2 anyways, and set it back to what you want, and hit apply and it should come back.
