Can NOT use VoIP in-game!

OK, every time I go to the menu and go to Audio, I sometimes see the Enable VoIP box is checked, sometimes it isn't. Well, if it isn't, I check it , click apply, go to video settings or any other menu, go back, and it isn't checked again! No matter what I do it's not letting me use VoIP. And I need it for tactical gameplay! :|:
I've tried toying with the microphone utility, but it didn't make it better. I have a Logitech headset, not sure what it's called exactly, and it IS plugged in. Please help.

Dont try to use the VOIP I see it as a lag generator in "My" game.

I prefer to use the Ventrillo which is a third party program and leave the VOIP completely out of BF2.

You dont want me yelling on your headset anyhow. =)

Is your mic connected to the front mic? If so try using the one that connects directly to the sound card, as BF2 doesn't support the a secondary mic option.

I had this prob matey and it turned out to be probs with old soundcard drivers . Hope this helps

The server your trying it on might not have VOIP enabled
