Problem ! My bf2 nick is -9311-Eddie, feel free to search me... My global score is 172, and somehow I'm not being promoted to PFC... The rank status bar shows 100%, and Iv'e logged in and out about 100 times... Iv'e even restarted the game a couple times... What is happeneing ?
But, wth... the score for a PFC is supposed to be 150, my score is 172, I think it shouldhave kicked in, thats an extra 22 points !
Yeah, it's just a little bug.
Go into a different server and earn one point. Could be a commander point, a team point, a kill, whatever, just earn it. You should then get your rank. :)
Alright, I did that, it was followed by the little tune and it said "Congratulations, you have been recomended for promotion" When I later check the BFHQ screen, it still displays Private, even though in a game my rank of PFC.

Ah! forgot to tell you you have to stay in the server until the round ends... sorry :hmm:
I *think* you get one unlock, but I'm not sure with all the patches/updates to the game. If you do, you might get the upgrade to the medic, as it is a very nice step-up. There will be other opinions, but that gun has been my favorite from the begining.
Well, i got promoted, now how do I unlkock a weapon ?
log out of bf2, then log back in and it should have a pop up asking you which weapon you want to unlock.
also promotions and stats updates are really slow on the weekends. EA's servers just get flooded with info and it can take a day to catch up. it took 2 days once for my expert spec ops to show up.
