APCs: Most annoying piece of junk in the game?

I don't mind jets and choppers much as I tend to move away from bases to avoid them. However, APCs are so abundant that it's hard to get anywhere on the map without atleast one big fat bastard blowing you up. APCs can hit you from a mile away, travel almost any terrain, have plenty of armor, never run out of ammo, and can obliterate infantry in a couple hits; basically they're armored BFG9000's with infinite ammo. Did I forget to mention that sitting in an APC makes you look like a big dumbass? Alot of my deaths come from APC whores as anyone reading this can figure out, but that doesn't mean I want them nerfed.

I've discovered that the best way to deal with APCs is to simply switch to anti-tank (hint hint!). Nothing is more satisfying than seeing APC whores crap their panties after taking a rocket up the ass and then trying to search for you. Then to see the pathetic and defenseless snipers that usually occupy APCs hop out of their smoking wrecks only to get a full clip of the DAO-12 shat down their necks is priceless. Poetic justice at its finest hour.

APCs can be taken out by 2-3 AT rocket shots depending where you hit it.

APCs can be destroyed by enemy aircraft.

APCs can be destroyed by enemy helicopters, even with the guns.

APCs can be destroyed with only 2x C4. Jihad jeep anyone?

APCs can be destroyed by running over 1 AT mine.

APCs are almost always destroyed by tanks.


APCs are far from invincible.

Perhaps just keep an eye on the UAV? If you're not SpecOps, Engineer or AT then you probably should go a different direction.

Or follow the ol'adage, "If you can't beat them, join them!"

Try getting into a Tank...they usally always best an APC.

I think a .1 or so increase in deviation would work a treat. I get ****ed at the sound I hear after I die. That annoying, tink bleck tonk tink tank. Argh!

Tanks are usually better, but if you know how to use the APC you can win a tank in a showdown.

Unless the tanker knows what hes doing and faces you with the side.

You see, you can kill the tank with one missile and some gun rounds in the tread faster than he can take you with main gun.

Well, you usually end up burning, good to be engineer!

LMAO, sounds like someone continually spawned at the Hotel, to find an APC waiting in the road lol...

respawn elsewhere, spot it for the more than happy T-90 driver, or blow it up in any of the ways listed above....

Because I want to know what everyone elses opinions are on APCs. I wrote my second paragraph to keep the thread-title-reading-post-ignoring fools like Harmor from regurgitating nonsense on how to take out APCs but it seems I have failed.

APC = Free kill for AT guys lol.

Now tanks, that's a different story, hard to hit them 2 times in treads without getting killed, APCs have the same damage material on it all, makes no difference where you hit it.

When I get in an APC I usually play as AT. I love shooting my TOW missile and exiting out of the APC with my AT rocket already in flight. This really ticks off the armor fiends :)

I find that they are both easy to take down as AT. The only exception is when I spawn at a base that's already infested with the filthy caca-roaches. Gotta love spawning and hearing "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM, MEDIC!, BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM"!

As i play Engineer most of the time i love them, as you know they can go anywhere, and they are a lot faster than a tank.

Easy. I play mainly SO...I love to come up on an APC, just like a tank. Run right up to the dufus, plant 2 packs of c4, >BOOM!<...no more problem.:p

Most of the time, when a person comes out of an apc and has whored up a whole base, he gets owned in a few seconds by infantry. Usually heavy apc whores absolutely suck when outside armor, so they get pwned by even the noobs in the server.

AWW. THE LOUD HIGH PITCHED PRE_TEEN WHINE.

In fact your anti tank makes you target number one for my big fat cannon. The rest of the infantry is simply bonus candy to be picked up after I send you to respawn.

Now.

Stay away from walls and objects.

Look both ways down the street before crossing.

Use the UAV and teammates spot and track the big bad LAV.

Use your head, hide when he is looking your way, nail him when he aint but DONT try a second shot from the same spot noob.

I dont crap pants except when a ballsy spec ops has made it to touching range and is backing up to blast the planted c4. I know what I gotta do and there better be no teammates standing around ready to be blown up.

the most annoying part is that there supposed to be troop transport, not tanks
