Ok, so we have basicly isolated the problem to your computer. All your other games play fine, but BF2 is VERY system intensive. I'm going to go overboard here, but it does not take long and it will limit time needed to keep testing new ideas and theories:

1)If your system or video card is overclocked in anyway, un-do it now (we can always o/c it again later)

2)Uninstal BF2 and all files associated with it (a pain I know, but work with me)

3)Uninstall your video card driver after d/l'ing latest driver off net-do not install it yet.

4)Reboot.

5)Reinstall video card driver. Reboot.

6)" BF2 only. reboot.

7)Patch with 1.3. Reboot

8)Open BF2, adjust video settings to MEDIUM (not all settings, just OVERALL)

9)Restart BF2. Attempt to go online and play

10)Smile if it works (curse if it doesn't)

This HAS to work.

I just did, and I'm about to try it. Wish me luck!

EDIT: I forgot that I put the 1.3 patch directly into the BF2 directory, but now the whole folder is gone, so I have to redownload that. Downloading at 161 kb/s if anyone finds that relevant.

Haha, yeah...I haven't even played the game since November. Though, its coming back to me pretty fast and I was 1st a couple times today and almost always the best medic in revives/heals.

My name in it is Rallykupo, with the prefix [OD], and my xfire is rallykupo(which would probably be a lot easier to get in contact with me :) )

I have not been able to play BF2 since 1.3 and I am at my wits end. I dont have the energy to try and do all those steps that were suggested to you. But I might try it one day.
