    An effing LAWSUIT?

All members who think this is a good idea need to the following immediately.

    a) Remove head from ass (very important)
    b) Read this book
    c) Uninstall BF2
    d) Give me your copy
    e) Move out of parent’s basement

    And lastly...

    f) Stop posting on totalbf2.com
Have to agree with you this time Skwurl, a £30 game most have played for between 100hours - 500hours (some much more) then want a lawsuit?
Yes it was a huge waste of cash!!
A massive ground breaking game like this is always going to have bugs.
Just think back to the NASA ship that blew up on launch, do you not think they tested, tested and over tested it? There was still a fault there. No new ground breaking technology/game is going to be faultless. Get over it and play the game you are privileged to own. Lessons will be learned and maybe next time we will have less bugs and no CTD

ahhh lawsuits what makes us truly american attempting to syphon money off other people without doing actual work. Not saying I love everything EA has done but the fact remains your product is still completely useable though a bit more anoying to use than before, mods are comeing out (note*at the will of the company they don't have to allow their engine to be modded) that are essentially full new games and content totally free.

If you guy think a lawsuit would work in this case ur idiots.

Suing because of a video game is a complete waste of time and an idiotic idea. Maybe if it caused your computer to explode and your hard drive to fry out, then maybe. But that's pretty much impossible. So what would you sue for? That you don't like how they changed the game with the patch? Or that you're having problems with a patch and now you can't play even though most people don't seem to have problems. The only thing I could ever see suing a game company over is damaging your computer or possibily for promising a feature and not following through, but I'm sure companies have their asses covered with that. The only problem I have with 1.3 is occassional CTD at the very start of a game, which is much less annoying than crashing in the middle of a game. The browser bug was a big problem for me, but that's fixed so now I can overlook the other flaws.

But I probably won't ever be buying BF2142.

You're argument is trash. You have only one shot with a shuttle. You can't launch it and then get it abck and do it again. With a game you can test the crapp out of it. And EA didn't my friend.

Turth is they did false advertise. Lots of things from the videos did not appear in the game.
My favorite: Showing the characters actually swinging into a buggy, not just teleporting into one.

And what exactly about this game is so 'ground breaking' ?

It was a public safty case.

Now, unless your BF2 CD mananges to explode and embeds fragments into your head, there's really no compairson.
Thank you Wargimp for being the voice of reason. I can't tell you how annoying it is when I hear people bring up this case that really don't know anything about it or why it was an important case for consumers. They just see it as a little old lady making big bucks.

mcdonalds in itself is a soulless company so meh. id have problems if she took a small coop grocery store to court or something, but the coffee was excessively hot (think of asprin having 10x the suppossed dose in a pill XD). as for the class action lawsuit, nothing in the manual said anything about the game having to be non-****ty, although you could maybe argue it gave false expectations on the product, but with software its iffy as it is still liable to patches

if the login part of ea, fails, then there would be a legit problem.
