The mcdonalds case was beyond cheap. I cant stand people that take large companies to court over stupid stuff like that just to make millions. Its cheap, and I think very little of you just for making this thread.

So if I sold you a bottle of pop that contained hydrocloric acid and you accedently spilled it all over yourself, you wouldn't be mad enough to sue?

Know the facts before to judge.
The cases was over the fact that the coffee was so damned hot that it was actually a threat to the consumer. At that temprature "proper use" would have resulted in injury. The fact that she spilled it had little to do with the verdict.

Of course not man, thats not what Im saying.

Sueing for millions because your burnt yourself with your coffee, and there was no warning that the coffee was hot, is infact cheap and very stupid.

(I had to study that case in Law class. Before I knew the facts, I thought it was silly too.)

I recall in past games for example lock on, which drove me crazy and I was being pushed out by bullies on a forum for assistance. All I got in response was "get a new computer" and some of course some nasty name calling. A lot of buyers were missleaded by the min requirements. Ended up in arguements. I wasn't the only one having the problems. Now out of millions of copies sold, only about 1000 people play Lock on today. And furthermore you have to pay for the patch which of course they call it an upgrade with one airplane addon and a map with fixes from previous lock-on. You only can get this addon online. Bf2, I can play with the hardware I have due to lock-On problems, I ended up buying a whole new system, part by part, hoping to fix issues. I still can not play Lock-On today, so I am out $100.00 to someone who doesn't give a crap about customers. UBI doesn't deal with lock-on anymore, and the creators went on their own and made this patch.

BF2,...and the new patch, I really dunno. Haven't been playing much after the patch came out also Ghost Recon:AW. What really got me that I am not able to play BF2 at all (Ranked Servers), since EF came out. That was then, I really do not know now if I can because I been on Special Forces ranked servers. Only Special Forces I can play. And I am ok with that.

Heck, with suing due a game. Which I hope for. I dislike customers being taken for their money. I do not see one happening. If one does, I sure like to see it.

well... if in the manuals or something there is read something about the battlefield TV you can demmand them because they inform somehing that the y haven give to us

There is a case for false advertising. Like was stated above EA still advertise Battlefield TV, where are the hover crafts? Hell if there is a class action put me down LOL

P.S. - When you sell a consumer a product that can harm them and don't put a label on it letting them know it can harm them (or the correct label for that matter), you set yourself up to be sued. It's the nature of our "protect the weak" society, and system of law. Deal with it?

Not only was the coffee above the acceptable tempature for that beverage, McDonald's had been warned that they needed to follow the guidelines or else this could happen.

Well I so WISH I could file a law suit and actually have a real claim.

The bigger picture here is that companies advertise and promise things which are complete lies sometimes. That should be illegal, and if enough people complain, that company should pay big time. Actually, I think there is something like this....thing is no one knows wehre TO complain.

BF2 was 50 bucks or 45, depends. That can be a lot of money to some. I would expect some decent work to keep this puppy working. I know even if someone were to sue, they wouldn't have a penny of a case, but in my wildest dreams I would enjoy it very much if someone did and won a million bucks or something.

The "Online experiences may change" label is so BS. This game was practically made for online. That's too vague of a statement. There should be a law where the producers actually have to do and make things that work, and make the game better.
Can you feel my anger for BF2, especially since 1.2/3.

Sorry dude, but the essence of the case is that products sold to the public shoule not be capible of causing bodily harm through casual use without a warning of some type. If the lady in question (whom history has painted as clumbsy and silly for sueing) had actually attempted to drink that coffee, she could have caused herself serious injuries to her mouth.

It was a public safty case.

Now, unless your BF2 CD mananges to explode and embeds fragments into your head, there's really no compairson.

If it caused a seizure, outside of the warnings on the front of the booklet, you could still sue.

There was some complaint about HL2 and the viewing angle that made people sick.

Pain and suffering caused by constant illogical patching? Anyone?
