bf42 was the best Battlefield game hands down.
It was in DC that I learned to fly the helicopter. I still remember my first time flying, what a disaster :p

yeah me to.. it took skill to hover an apache and even more to hellfire another chopper and fighters fought other planes and bombers bombed... happy days....

i had bought the pack with 42 and the two expansions a while back. i played thru single player, and then played a little online. idunno, didnt really keep my attention much.

i was born and raised on bf42.

So many good times there i cant even remember how good it was.

I played that for so long, and then made the switch over to the Desert Combat mod.... SOO MUCH FUN!!

I still like 42, but the nade spamming......my goodness....no one uses the MG's anymore, it just nades as thier primary weapon.

I have played BF1942 singleplayer (didnt have internet that time:S) and BF:V multi it was better than BF2... (just no stats and awardz ect.)

Oh yeah, BF42 is the daddy ! The MP demo (Wake Island) was released before BF42 came out, I d/led it & was hooked from that point on.
