Problems!!
I have been playing BF2 for quite some time, and even after the 1.3 patch came out. But then i started having trouble w/ crashing back to windows which soon resolved itself (I tried reinstalling BF2 and full patch), but now it is a new problem i'm facing. My mouse and keyboard freeze as soon as i click "Join Game" or wait for time to push me straight into the game. I can click "ctrl-alt.-del." to get back to desktop and everything works just fine. I've tried w/ different accounts/single player/co-op/or normal "Create Local" with the same results. NE ideas of fixing the problem???

I have the EXACT same problem. Been playing 1.3 since it came out with no real issues, then today I crashed (system rebooted) when I try to get in game as soon as I click Join Game I have no mouse or keyboard controls (Ctrl-Alt-Del only) I see the mouse pointer on the screen just doesn't move at all. And the game I've joined seems to be going on in the background. Please EA any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!Originally posted by dragonicfistComment

I kno how to fix it now. The key tho is that u need to kno ur password or e-mail address to retrieve ur account. If you kno either of those two, follow these instructions: Go to "My Documents" folder and delete your "Battlefield 2" folder. This will not delete ur account, but will reset the whole game w/ having to reinstall it. This technique also works w/ the desktop crash as well. U will need to reapply ur settings and if u have a modified prefix, just re-type it into ur global.con file... and thats it, if u need ne more help, just postComment

Actually I figured out what my problem was. When I crashed my controls got corrupted. All I had to do was go to Controls (where you set binds for each vehicle etc) and click Restore default (then go fix my custom settings again) and all is well.Comment
