stats poll

I was tinking about the leaderboard and how some people on it play on one server exclusively and use basically one thing ie tank plane a majority of the time.
So I wondered if it would have been a good idea for EA to have made it so you can only get so many points in one day from a particular kit or vehicle or server to encourage players to mingle and be better rounded players and to have the stats reflect that ...

They can have all the points in the world, but wont have the highest rank, like the few top guys still stuck at colonel

sounds okay, i voted yes because cause i didn't read post, but now that i think about it it is no fun really, i like sniping and spec ops and don't want to play other kits, its just a game anyways

Let them play the game how they want to play it. If they want to focus on tanks or planes or sniping or support let them have their fun.

I voted no because I don't want DICE or anyone else dictating how and where I play the game. If I want to be anti-tank on some 24/7 Karkand server for the rest of my life (not that I do) who the hell is someone to force me to not do so? I'd say that the majority of BF2 dudes will work their way around the kits, maps, vehicles and servers and ultimately become well rounded. When I get bored with one kit I move onto another. Same with maps. Same with servers.

I had to say no because of issues of limited play time... the cap would have to be very high or something and there are too many variables involved.

ok thanks for the input guys.. it was just a thought ( a bad one i guess) on my part cause i have worked hard using all kits and vehicles to get my awards and ranks and i guess i was peturbed by the fact theres "uberl33ts" ranked well above me that never step out of their armor or their server and get away with booting anyone who gives them a challange. met a colonel the other day, owned him got kicked and banned for damaging his stats...

The developers must've been thinking the same way - that diversity of kits is better than just being a one-trick-pony, because of the linkage between earning advanced badges in a wide variety of kits and making high ranks.

And medic whores too? And sniper whores, and commander whores, and jet whores and chopper whores?

Why do beople get so caught up in caring about someone who prefers to play one kit over another? Let people play what they like to play. If it is just one kit on one map for their entire BF2 career, then it is their loss, not yours.
