Does the M95 or L96A1 do any damage to armor?

Does the M95 or L96A1 do any damage to armor? Should I be firing at enemy armor when its flamming to 'get the kill'?

they wont damage armor, only transport, helos, and jets. and i only think the m95 does damage to these, not l96a1

I dont really think it does damage. But it is fun when you see a tank about to blow up. Shoot it one time and then boom. player[m95] guy in the tank.

So it must be doing damage then? Or else you could do "player [Knife] guy in the tank"...

Well, the knife may be unrealistic because of the collision fields around the tank.

Also the tank would blow up, killing the knifer.

I laugh at people shooting at my tank with their m95...just gives away their position and then I shoot them with my 120mm "sniper rifle"

it is often my last move when i turn around and see a tank behind me and im holding a sniper rifle- no point running, just fire a final defiant round at the SOB before he blows you away.

Yep, that is why I do it. No use running and dying a coward's death. Perhaps I'll distract the tank enough to get him killed by some other guy.

When I'm in a tank and I hear small arms fire from one direction I look in the other direction. 9 times out of 10 he's trying to distract me long enough for a SpecOps or Engineer to get close.

Anyhow I'm still on the fence with this. Reason is I don't get the "hit locator" when I shoot at armor.

it's basically a "f--- you armour whore" before you die.

                      LOL
I once got 5 kills from a loaded blackhawk after it was just about to blow I shot it with the m95 in the underbelly.. That was sweet, I'd be annoyed if it was me that got 99.9 % of the damage to it tho

If you get the hit indicator when you shoot something, you did damage, otherwise it just bounced off.

The M95 does double the damage to vehicles that the L96 does.

Very smart. Last night in a game of Spec Forces, I was hosing my MP7 at an APC. He tried to kill me but I kept ducking out of sight, juuuuust long enough for my squad mate to strap 2 presents onto him and send him off for 15 seconds of quiet reflection.

What? I thought the L96A1 does the same damage that the M95, but has the accuracy of an M24?

the M95 does 190 damage to vehicles, 95 to infantry. the others just do 95 to everything.

the M95 *is* an anti-material rifle, after all.

                              No no no,

                              To put it clearly:

M95 - 95HP to *both* armored and non armored enemies
                              L96/M24 - 95HP for non armored, 65HP for armored.

The L96 is superior to the M24 in that it has a 5 second reload instead of 6 seconds, and arguably a better scope. It is also quieter, it's almost like a silent sniper rifle.
