    Hovering with the JSF

Does anyone have any tips on hovering with the JSF? Everytime I try I end up crashing.

What are you trying to do? Also get a joy stick, hopefuly you are NOT the kind thats like to hover in the middle of the field to capture a flag.

If you are trying to land, just slow down far enough before you get to the airstrike and you will slown down enough and start to hover up, just keep it balance and let go of the key and it should fall slowly. If you have a joystick just put the throtle at mid.

my suggestion would be dont. I dont have a stick yet, but hold sown S and keep at a level altitute, I tried doing this tacic, but I got shot down that normally wouldnt take down a moving plane, like anti tank rocket, helicopter, FAV, tank and the list continues, It is unwise to hover in a JSF aside from taking off from a carrier. Dont try and take over flags or baserape with it. I shot a few of them while i was in a tank because they were hovering.

only time u need the hover is when taking off or eradicating some pesky campers on the carrier. Other than that u don't need it.

slow down and the pull up to complete a full stop before engaging the hover engine. Sometimes you gain a lot of altitude during the pull to stop forward momentum, but thats okay, practice will make perfect. Soon you'll be able to slow to an almost stop - pull up to complete the stop, then throttle all the way back.

if you have any forward momentum when you start to hover - you won't be able to pull up enough to keep your nose up.

and don't listen to the people who say you don't ever need to hover, it comes in handy more than they know.
