Veteran Pistol Combat!!! (almost)

So last night I realize that I only need 7 pistol kills in a round to get my veteran pistol badge... I load up some Karkand and go to work...

30 minutes later I see the award and hear the drum roll.... good deal! I get the award! Im so excited...

about 15 minutes later Im still playing the same round and I get "There is a problem with your connection".

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!


Question: will I still get credit for the award? I'm waiting for my stats to update and Im biting my fingernails...

Another question/observation: Some will likely jump on the 1.3 bandwagon and say that the connection problem was because of the patch... whats interesting is that last night was the first time Ive had any connection issues period... I think it was my internet service and not the game...

This is confirmation that you dont have to finish a round to get credit for an award earned in that round!!!!! Thats great to know.

I did get a award with not ending the round !also if u can rejoin the round before it ends u keep your score
see how u go?

This is confirmation that you dont have to finish a round to get credit for an award earned in that round!!!!! Thats great to know.

doesnt work all the time so shouldnt really be taken for granted

i never rejoined though, I chalked it up to internet issues and quit the game. I was not there for round-end.

I don't think so. The server crashing means that stats don't update. Already becuase of this i've had to get my expert Assault twice and my Veteran medic combat badge twice. You might get lucky i dunno. I sure as hell didn't.

Although, if you get the awards. Leave the round and the server doesn't crash or anything stupid. You get them. (from my experiences)

Thats not what happened to me...

I was playing, earned veteran pistol award, game disconnected me (connection problem), I quit the game and this morning I have the award on my stats (See the link in my first post).

i once gained a rank... (joy!) so i stoped my current match, didn't had the time 2 finish the match, and i found out that i didn;t gain a rank the next day.
what happened b4 is that I almost gained 1 rank (don't know which 1 but i thought i needed 8000 points) so i played some more 2 get the last few points but didn't raise a rank, i had the required amout of points (even more 8100 or something) but still didn't got my new rank... it realy sux cause I want my new gun >.<

Veteran is piece of cake, I'm going to deal with expert as soon as I meet global req.

getting expert pistol dosent mean anything any more :cry:
I got mine pre-1.3 and I worked hard for it, took me a good 5 tries to do it.

If you crash you still get the badges. If the server crashes you don't get the badges.

If you lost your connection on YOUR side, then you'll get whatever points or awards received while playing. However, if the server resets or crashes, then you're out of luck, as nothing will count.
