Logging in Errors, PB Errors :S

Hey, i just recently bought Battlefield 2, and updated to Patch 1.3 Immediately. I will tell you what happened from when i started.

I created an account, which i then tried logging into. All went well until i was to experience problems with PB Files (PunkBuster i assume), i was getting kicked immediately.

So i had a friend tell me i was to download the pbsetup.exe program and manually update the PB Files. Sure enough i did, but when i create/login to an account, it will sit there saying "Logging into account" or whatever, i donno what it says when you're logging in. Anyway, from all my experiments, it will take at least 15-20minutes for it to fully successfully login. Then it will be all fine.

It gets me frustrated to wait 20 minutes to log in. Does someone know my error? I reinstalled the game, and the patch several times. No changes.

Many ppl reported Login Problems if they have many dead/outdated Servers in their Favorite list....dunno if that applys to you since u just bought it.

have u deleted the Registry entrys and the BF2 folder in "my Documents" before u reinstalled it?

If u have to reinstall BF2, try to install it to a different folder, patch, update PB.
You have to be logged in as "Computer Administrator" to play BF2 because of PB.

I would try just renaming the Battlefield 2 folder in your "My Documents" folder.

When you restart bf2, it will recreate the folders. At the login screen, use your normal login to retrieve you use info from the account server. If the login time improves, then you had something causing the problem in your old profile.

From here you can either start new (reconfiguring your controls), or copy the controls.con file from your old profile to the new one.

The main thing is to find out if you can login quicker.

Ok, well. I formatted my whole PC today... first thing (after the neccessary stuff) i put on was Battlefield and it's patch.It still is taking 15 - 20 minutes for me to log in. I don't know what's the problems but it's getting me angry.

Anyone else experience it?
