MIRC BF2 help

Ok, i am a total rookie on MIRC. I downloaded mIRC and i was wondering if somebody could be kind enough to help me with some beginer stuff. I need to know how to join Channels. I know some BF2 channels i just need to figure out a way to join them.

Here are the ones that i am trying to get into:

#bf2scrim
#findscrimbf2
#scrimbf2

In the console just type /join #channelname

Whats console? Where? You mean commands screen>? Cus their is one under command screen that says "Join ch" but when i type all 3 of thoses in, it doesnt load.

Doesnt help me much.. I paste one of these 3 and it connects but doesnt show anybody in their. I guess you have to like go to a group then join a chat or something..

those channels must be on a particular server, do you know what the servers address is ie irc.quakenet.org

them channels you are looking for are on gamesurge;

IRC.EU.GAMESURGE.NET Port 6667 just add it to your server list, from that guide and try and join those channels then, apparently they arent empty
