    X-Fi sound issues post 1.3

As the title suggests i've had problems with the sound after installing 1.3

The patch stopped my PC from detecting the entire card and tried re-installing it every time i rebooted windows. This of course stopped any sound. The game itself strangely worked fine, but battlefield 2 without sound sucks a$$.

I'm presuming its the patch that has caused this problem because upon un-installing battlefield everything returned back to normal. Funny that?

Please point me in the right direction if this is a known problem and my minutes of typing and your seconds of reading are being wasted.

Sorry if this is the case, but to cheer you up here is the word "flange".

1- Download the latest driver for Sound card.
2- Install driver (do not uninstall old ones)

Let me know if it works. I fixed the same problem this way 3 weeks ago.

if your drivers were working fine before, and this just started happeneing, and you havent messed with it do this:

open console switcher and make sure its on GAMING mode.
open bf2 and login. go to options and sound. change it to creative x-fi, then to Ultra Quality sound and hit apply. ^_^ enjoy.

Try Creatives latest beta driver (just released). Apparently they list several BF2 fixes and enhancements.
