    Ventrilo question

When using program like teamspeak or ventrilo, is there an option to have the BF2 sound effects dim while you are talking? The BF2 voip automatically softens the sound effects when your talking so you can hear what people are saying.

Any third party programs that do this as well?

I don't think so, as far as Vent and TS.

You can lower the voice effects in the Audio settings in BF2, but they won't go lower if you're talking over Teamspeak or Ventrillo.

we use vent all the time
just adjust in game settings a little lower
and you can also adjust the vent volumes louder

yeah, no program will mess with the game's sound. Just work on your levels, the input/output levels in Vent are fairly easy to adjust.

One note - when adjusting them you cant talk, noone will hear you as long as the 'setup' window is up.

I wonder if there is an app like autohotkey or something like that that you could use as the same 'push to talk key' as TS or Vent and map it to 'lower audio volume to 50%' or something like that.

Autohotkey may be a place to look.
