I was playing last night and my team was running somehwere, I forget, but a badguy ran up behind most of my team, I was Tail End Charlie. Problem was I was an engineer, and I was a little too far away to be effective with the shotgun, and the pistol didn't kill him in time.
However I was hitting "enemy spotted" and he was just showing up as a normal red dot on the screen.
Now I don't know how much impact this would have on the game, but how about something spotted by a team mate would either flash on the radar, or light up a different colour?
While I don't know if it would have helped in this situation I know a couple others where you are under attack by a sniper and there are like 5 snipers indicated on the map. Having one pulse orange or something will let the rest of the team know who they should be shooting at.
Sometimes by the time you've gone "There is a guy behind you, and I can't shoot him, he's over on the left, behind the tree with the pink flowers" the enemy has killed you and your team, or most of it.
going "Q" click, shoot would be much more effective. Especially if some visual emphasis was put on it.
