Sick of finishing 4th or 5th?

After almost a year of playing im getting frustarated because

If u dont have a:

1 Helo
2 armour(tank or apc)
3 jet

forget the idea of getting a medal:cry: on any map:evil:
even karkand the medic will not finish in top 3 because of armour spawn killers

so what do u do?theses people are hogs and killing each other for assets
thats why i am grunt 95% but when ur grunt its spawn (arty)die ,spawn(helo whore )die,spawn (spawn kill) die

im miss the old battlefield without arty and uav when the infantry had some chance of even playing

the game should have had 3 infantry maps(ranked)NO ARMOUR just jeeps

either that or 20 people wait for 1 tank:laugh:
maybe i should hog stuff (armour) and join the spawnkill but i wont never do that

just a rant from a shell shocked grunt:p
infantry people have ur say
beta AT?
handheld sams?
flack cannons?(AA )
do the grunts want or need more?
maybe im alone on this

Yeah 16 player maps can get boring. Especially as a sniper, 32 enemies running around and you've plenty to pluck :p unlucky sods..
Anyway, I tend to go "purpose kitted", especially with revenge. Guy on rooftop snipes me, spawn sniper, spot him, shot him dead, then make use of the kit and satchels before dead again haha. Probably by a tank heading towards our base, so spawn specs, do a mad evasive run to get behind him and chuck em on and boooom. APCs and tanks alike, so easy as a spec if your hidden. ATs suck, they needn ampin up, 3 shots to get a tank!? I'm spotted on the 1st shot, fluke to get a 2nd, then try duck out from another corner to get in a 3rd.. rare occasion..
Non tank map would be ok I guess.. But I make use of the UAV to much to neglect that..
All up, I feel your pain! spawn die, death streak of 17, spawn fags and unlucky squadleader spawns e.g. Oh look a grenade.. next to me.. yay. Or into a car and split second.. boom.

16 player maps are more fun that you might think.

You are spoiled by the 64 player maps, which are larger, to cater for the increased number of vehicles.

I get first, second, and third all the time on foot. Not medic whoring either. Just kill a crapload and take a lot of flags. Easy.

Too true for a majority of games, and YES very frustrating!
Look at it this way:-
When these Armour/Helo/Jet whores cant get their toys of destruction they have to ground pound and thats where your experience will own their asses!
In my experience there are very few players that excell in every aspect of BF2 (but there are always exceptions to the rule)!
I have the utmost respect for ground pounders if that makes you feel any better.

Sometimes peace can only be bought about by WAR!

Not really bothered if I miss out on a medal, as long as I had a decent round I am happy.

In my experience there are very few players that excell in every aspect of BF2 (but there are always exceptions to the rule)!

As for the thread starter... I agree, it sucks having to watch your efforts go "unrewarded", but doesn't that make it even more satisfying when you get a medal ? For us airwhores, a medal is par for the course... which is sad because it's no longer special, something to be proud about.

In the end, everyone contributes a certain something for victory to be achieved, so don't feel left out. Your air support helps you make those flag captures a little easier: in turn, your actions enable us to move closer to a win.
