    New Computer problems

Ok, well i got fed up with my old computer being slow and ALWAYS lagging...So i got a new one (new to me) Well the lag is gone and loading time is cut in half but now i have some issues.

The voice is always studdering, like it does when it lags really bad, but i'm not lagging at all. It does it whenever i play and doesn't stop.

The other thing it does is pictured below, i don't know how to explain it...so just have a look.

    Comp specs- AMD Athlon 3000+ 2.2GHz - 160GB HD - 1GB RAM - ATi Radeon 9600XT - Soundblaster 24bit soundcard

    Thanks in advance.

Try changing your sound settings in game and disable VOIP.

Then go to BIOS and disable your motherboard's onboard sound (If you dont need it.) It may or may not work.

The video, I cannot help you there. I was going to ask if you blew the dust bunnies out of the case but I never saw anything like that.

Update drivers. Make sure all drivers are installed; chipset, vid card, sound.

        Uninstall BF2, then reinstall.

            Re: New Computer problems

OK, bad news. Went into BIOS and disabled on board audio...didn't help. Uninstalled audio card and took it out....sound worked. No big deal, i'll take it back and rock the factory audio (really doesn't matter to me).

For the real problem now...uninstalled BF2 and now i cannot re-install it! It gets to 40% and tells me BF2 cannot be installed, please try again. I've tried 4 times and everytime i get that message.

So this is fantastic, I don't even have BF2 anymore...i can't begin to describe the anger inside of me. I would throw this computer off the balcony right now but lucky for the computer my wife is here to stop me.

            Anymore ideas?
