but after that far cry thread ive been back to it as it was still installed put it on hard and had my arse handed to me for quite a few hours iver the weekend and loved every minute of it.

hell i still play dc/dcf and like it

If Quake Wars is better then BF2 then I'll probably pick it up and give up on BF2. I was a big fan of the original Enemy Territory. It really had that objective mode down to a science. I'm not really a fan of Quake games though, so I just call it Enemy Territory 2 in my head.

I'll still probably play BF2 even if i do end up buying quake wars, (if i do) but right now i have my eyes set on BF2142. It looks great.

Yeah, and they meant continuing to play BF2 while getting ET:QW and playing that as well.
I would still have all my games installed if I had enough hard drive space. A 250 gig Barracuda would be great. :P

If you havent played ET then you should try it. Its a free game and theres still a ton of people playing it. The d/l is only around 250mb. Here's a link.

I think mods will keep BF2 alive long after QW will be forgotten. But yeah I'm really looking forward to a game like Battlefield that has more meaning to it's maps instead of merry-go-round.
