    Severe FPS Drop Post 1.3

Hey guys, I've been running Bf2 since release on Medium graphics with 1024x768 @ 75 hertz, without that many major lock ups and only stutters during the first minute or so of a game.

Since 1.3, With the above settings I've been flat lined at 15.0 FPS (appears that is as low as the built in FPS reader will go), I knocked down the res to 800*600 with no difference, I then proceeded to making a custom graphics settings, Low/Medium, and it barely makes it past 20 or so frames.

With my hardware (sig) I'm fairly confident I should be getting a lot better than this.

I've ran virus scans, spy ware. Followed an optimization guide, Normally In the background I have Ventrillo, XFire and my Joystick Profile software running in the background.

I was averaging around: Vanilla 25/30-45 SF 20-30.

Any suggestions? Hey guys, I've been running Bf2 since release on Medium graphics with 1024x768 @ 75 hertz, without that many major lock ups and only stutters during the first minute or so of a game.

Any suggestions? Is anyone else suffering such decreases in FPS?

If this is your original BF2 installation it is getting old and may be suffering "application rot." It wouldn't hurt to uninstall the game, defragment your HDD then reinstall.
