i was about to get the euro forces exp. Pack but then i decided to get Special Forces, now im planning to get euro forces and armor fury, i mean is it worth getting those 2 or just wait till 2142?

Try checking the Special Forces and Euro Forces discussions. You don't even have to do a search. Someone asks the same question almost daily, so they are usually on the front page. It's usually easier than creating a new post, but people like to do things the hard way.Comment

I own BF2, SF, EF, and AF. Personally, I am a huge fan of the Special Forces expansion pack. I have about a 4:1 ratio of bf2 hours to sf hours, but it's getting closer and closer together. All the new gadgets, maps, and modes (night, anyone?) make it almost a completely different game. Even unranked, you can find some amazing servers to play on (I love TG).
As for EF and AF, it's really a personal choice. They're less than $10 each, and add a few maps, vehicles, and weapons. A lot of them are really cool, and you can find some 24/7 booster pack servers running at any one time. If either one of them interests you (ie: the content seems cool), get it.
Before you complain of the cost, consider this. Most online games that have player databases cost monthly fees to play (to maintain the account servers). Examples are World of Warcraft, The Matrix Online, and City of Heroes. The average monthly price is $15/mo. That's in addition to the cost of the game (around $50, usually). BF2 has ZERO monthly fee. You can play this for two years straight and pay no more than what you pay for your internet connection. All these people whining about $10 for a booster pack obviously don't see that it costs LESS for a booster pack than it does for ONE month of playing any other major online game.

If you can find SF for 10 USD than go for it. It doesn't have a ton of players but if you can find it cheap it is worth checking out just for warlord, ghost town, night flight, and a couple other maps.Comment

Just so you keep it straight with these nay sayers coments..
SF was an Expansion Pack.. ex'anding the game into different territories and adding many new weapons, unlocks and vehicles.
EF was a Booster pack.. adding one new army some new vehicles and only 3 maps.
AF is a Booster pack as well.. adding new vehicles no new weapons and 3 maps which I might say are way better than the other booster.
My favorite is still the SF expansion pack as it has much more functionality to it with all the additions to the soldiers kits.. like the grapple hook and ziplines.. play it enough and go back to reg bf2 and you wonder how everyone gets around. The other nice thing is that (this is my iwn opinion) most newbs or smacktard game play goes on in reg bf2 .. does it happen at times in SF.. yes but not near as much in exploiting etc.. the players seem to respect each other a bit more.. not alot but the gameplay feels totally different to me there.
AF the Booster is also to alot like SF in gameplay.. not only is it more fun to play than drab same ole same ole desert maps since its based entirely of US maps, its also more intresting fighting scenarios to me being from the US and seeing some familiar landscape and also the various aspects to the maps that makes them each so different.. unlike the EF maps with exception of the Great Wall <-- good map.. they all had desert desert desert.. did I say desert?
So its nice to me to get a booster that adds more to the game.. bugs in bf2 are prevailant yes.. but when they are fixed there.. they will be for the expansions and boosters by default.. so for those whining "I give EA no more money till they fix bf2 first" Did you ever think maybe they are giving you more content meanwhile preparing a big patch to fix other problems as well?
Either way I will continue to buy or pay for booster or expansion packs and I will probably also buy 2142. The main reason for that.. is that I am a Dev for Galactic Conquest (Star WArs mod for BF1942) and to me the play style and feel of 2142 puts me in mind of the exact same thing we have in our mod.. from ground combat to air to air and also boarding captial ships to take them over or to complete a mission.
No Im not an EA lover either.. in fact I know many more than I that buy everything EA from sports titles to Sims and all thier BF content. Me I will just maintain my sanity long enough to get through about two more years of BF series.. Maybe then something else will be out.

You muppet!!!! If you payed for servers, which you obviously dont, you may find people pay upto £300/$500 for a 64 player server a month!!!! SO yes, noobs/tkers/idiots all get to play for free while people who properly support the game (unlike EA/DICE) are coughing up the ridiculas amounts of money EA charge. Which leads me on nicly to how **** the support is from EA/DICE!!!! Which is absolutly f**k all.
