You, sir, are the moron. I do not "cry" when "raped by a plane" as you state. I feel the game is what the game is. That is why I have been DEFENDING this pilot, you goober. So why don;t you just leave the big-boys alone and go away. Punk.

Yeah, it gets better towards the end.

I was actually trying to bait him into giving me the hax so i could forward it to PB. He didn't fall for it though, I only got some code samples and some screenshots. PB were thankful for them all the same

There was more in there but the admins deleted it. Looks like I'd flipped my cork, but trust me I hadn't. I have NO time for cheats and I wanted all the info I could get for PB.

That particular case just shows how cheating destroys the game, friendships and the community.

              Re: Amazing pilot.

I never claimed to be the best pilot (ok, maybe once or twice), but it's a recorded fact that nobody ever managed to replicate my SPM or KPM (I am of course EXCLUDING the one pilot who played nonstop Wake 2007 and barely exceeded my 23mm numbers, as my SPM is typically around 7-8 on that map. Fact is, the only mark of a true pilot in statistics is the kills/assists/defends they rack up and how fast they do it. KDR can be a fun thing to have, but that's it, although it does tie in directly with your KPM/SPM (ie you die more you have more downtime).

KDR for pilots sucks either way. For example: most of my KDR on my PlaneWhore account and 23mm account are either from dying on the runway to teamates or stalkers, and much more common (on 23mm) is when my connection was spotty for many months I'd get disconnected somewhere around once every 3 or 4 rounds. If those deaths were never calculated (and they never should've been) PlaneWhore account would be around 150-200 KDR and 23MM would be more around 500-600KDR. On 23mm I think I died maybe 3 or 4 times total to AA fire.

Oh and getting back on topic, I'll admit initially I was impressed with this pilot and his ability to get such a great KDR flying mostly F-35B. However, I then realized this particular pilots isn't even at 1 kill per minute. That's flat out pathetic playing mostly Wake 2007 and I can easily triple or quadruple that (to 3 or 4 KPM - 7-8SPM). I'm assuming this pilot mostly flys super high up, dives down attacks, and heads back up into the clouds hoping all the while a J-10 does not spot him. It's either lack of skilled enemy pilots or perhaps (and unlikely) he might cheat with a radar hack of sorts to avoid the airspace occuped with the J-10s. However I'd find that HIGHLY unlikely because if he had such a cheat his KPM/SPKM would be far better. Or a much less exiciting explaination is he just might bail anytime a J-10 locks on to him to preserve that precious KDR, and that'd most certainly explain his abysmal KPM/SPM.

If you get me on the server with this clown if I'm able to actually find him with a J-10 I'll kill him guaranteed or at least force him to parachute out (same thing, really).

My post relating to this threads topic has concluded here, and the below is a following sidenote about my piloting skill and "Colony", I recommend you skip over it if you have no interest in the matter.

First let me say I never doubted for a second Colony was a great pilot, but fact is Colony was a non-factor until the patches with the easy AA missiles came about. I have absolutely no doubt in a 1 on 1 dogfight during the first patch (skilled patch) when I was in practice I would've wiped the floor with Colony. Talk all you want about how my "videos" sucked, but I released those videos on a 6600 computer with a single SATA HD and basic Venice CPU. Compensating for the lag (and the nervous "recording" factor with an audience) alone hurt my usual performance, but then again I didn't see any other pilots (colony for one) release any videos that were even close to mine. Videos that I might add have had tens of thousands of downloads over various sites and generated many hundreds of emails from novice pilots thanking me for releasing such a valuable training tool even if I did "suck" in your estimation.

Though I'd hardly consider myself that great of a pilot any more even though I'm able to jump in a J-10, F-35B or what have you and still get 50-60 kills a round any map easy with 0-2 deaths. When the planes stopped being about skill and started being about whoring the J-10 I stopped flying. That and of course the "no skill" AA missiles in the newest patches. Flying is the most poorly balanced aspect in BF2 right now. The J-10 was never such a factor in the first patch and I'd shoot down the best J-10 pilots left and right with both cannons and missiles.

To be honest though I've personally spent far more time on the ground that in the air so you'd be a fool to call me a one trick pony. Fact is I'm able to regularly manage a 4-5 SPM playing medic with a 3:1 or better KDR, and about a 50% gold medal/games played ratio on nothing but the most competitive 64 player infantry servers available. I like infantry combat more than piloting in 1.3, and grenade spamming is about the only tactic that reminds me of how lame and random air combat has become, and thank god for that. Of course, being able to avoid the M95 lamers and runway campers is another great plus side to playing infantry.

Bottom line is I'll pass on my crown when someone can ever beat my 23mm SPM/KPM over the same timeframe AND play every single map as evenly as I did. For example, Wake 2007 whoring as "A_Special_Pilot" does not count in my books as that map is super unbalanced and an easy 8-9SPM for me every round. If you want my respect you've gotta play plenty of Kubra, FuShe, Zatar to really prove yourself IMO (at least 30-40% of total game played should be on those three maps). And if you want to replicate it perfectly you've got to play nothing but 64 player servers just like me, and that's my challenge as it stands, and I guarantee you'll never succeed.

Ive seen your videos your an insanely effective piolit but the way you play is very diferent from colony's he seems to make it a point to go after the other planes... I always see you going after people on the ground because it offers more kills.

Both methods work and in the end i would say you both end up helping your team equally.

I agree with what you say about my tactics, but bottom line is I approach every single game from the standpoint of "How can I best help my team win this round?. My response to such a question is killing the (skilled) enemy pilots once and then destroying them over and over again on the ground, killing the enemy transport and attack helicopters as I see them, destroying tanks when spotted, destroying APC when spotted in roughly that order of importance. With other little maintenance things throughout the round like bombing friendly flags that go neutral, and ticket bleeding by killing massive amounts of useless infantry camping on the enemy carriers or runway. Ticket bleed rules, because on a game with an average of around 60 kills that's roughly a forth of the enemies 280-300 total tickets gone as the result of the actions 1 player out a total of 64.

Generally speaking air to air combat crap is a waste of time. I always take the (skilled) enemy air vehicles out of commission with a far more effective (but very cheap) method of kill once - camp forever. But generally speaking most pilots suck so badly leaving them alone won't bother my team much, and in fact I've always had a tendency to ignore crappy pilots and let them stay airborne and prevent people like Colony from getting them on the respawn.

I'll always take raw effectiveness over a cinematic dog fighting scene out of the top gun movie (not that those kind of air battles exisit anymore any ways).

Some people don't play BF2 to compete in organized matches, I play purely for fun whenever I feel like it. I don't feel like making the "six o clock" match, or practicing in a 4 player server, or turning BF2 in to more of a job than a fun diversion. In fact clan play makes you weak, players like me can function as a lone wolf, and as you'll find most of these hardcore match players fall apart without their team to wipe their ass for them.

I've had my run in with plenty of top CAL players and I can confidently say I've never been shot down by any of them in the air. In fact if you search back on the CAL BF2 forum archives you'll find a couple threads with the CAL newbies obsessing over me, one in particular I had plenty of elitest CAL knocking on my piloting abilities after the release of my first tutorial video, but that thread ended badly for them with me repeatedly shooting them all down [(FRAG] people in particular) and then them all subsequently shutting up.

In fact the only people I've ever seen CAL people kill in the servers I've been on are their own teammates (such as TKing for a plane).

Pubs might not be "serious business" (we are playing a game, right?) but fact is you go on some of the top 64 player servers such as StrafeRight and you'll run in to some serious competition, and if you play anything like I do you won't have your clan of butt buddies to back you up.

                          Re: Amazing pilot.

I'd agree somewhat with that. Though I'm in a clan, aside from the occasional scrim, we're non-competitive. The whole making a game for fun into a business of serious competition is a big leap. For those who like to play with a regular bunch of guys and have a community a non-competitive clan is the way to go, but if you're a loner like Planewhore seems to be, then that would not suit you at all.

In any event, as an average at best pilot (keyboard + mouse average, not joystick avetrage, lol) all I can really contribute here is that I would love to see a match between Colony, Planewhore, and Kiotee. I've seen Kiote in action and it's hard to believe there are even better pilots than him, but he defers to Colony so I'll take him at his word.

Is there any chance of just this once a fly-off? I know the TBF2 community would love to see it!

After reading this comment, I went to BF2s.com put his name in to see if he's online, he was, I went on the server...

... Kiotee is a good pilot, but nothing out of ordinary. We played on Kubra Dam. He was in the Mec single-seat jet and I was in the USMC single seated so the plane balance was pretty good (before that I was flying the bomber, easy target). I went on there purly to see how good he is. He's not bad yeh. I might be judging him too soon, after only playing once thought :P hehe but not someone that I would be scared of in the skies.
