I just got this but how?

Last night i got awarded the Veteran Tactical Support Weaponry

So i just checked my stats and see that i used it 100 in 00:08:40...When i dont even play SF or Assult kit, wtf!

Does this count towards the smoke in a tank? I use that alot..

You probably used it a lot when SF first came out. The req. was 1000 deplys then, but only 100 now, so with patch 1.3, it back-dated/awarded it to you.

Actualy it said i needed 3 more lol...so at palace I tossed them all to the other flag lol

LOL...I have to admit, I capped a flag then just "yo-yo'd" my grappling hook to get my final throws needed for my Vet

Tactical support is teargas (support kit) as well as assault's flashbangs. Did/do you use teargas a lot too?

Nope, i only played SF for a little bit, just enough to win the veteran kits.

I had a similar experience. I joined a game with a few buddies, only to notice I was the only one placed on the opposite sides. I clicked to switch teams, and the server decided to use this time not only to switch me BACK to the original team, but also to award me with the Veteran badge for grappling hook deploys. Odd game.

As you switched side, you where awarded a -2 point. That's what probably triggered the award-update. You needed some points so the server could do some catching-up.

thats true. the server was probably waiting for you to get a points (+/-) to award you, just like when you rank up. one time a round started and as I was driving away someone rammed me giving me -2 team damage and I was awarded with something like zip line.
