Crash

I know this is in the wrong forum but I rarely look at the tech forum...My cpu is fine but my buddies after downloading the 1.3 patch the game just crashes. I had him re-install the game along with all the patches along with the hotfix and it worked fine for a day but just got another e-mail that it crashed again.. Any input would be appreciated so I can pass it along...
I know someone said something about a directory and to change its name so we have also tried that...

thought 1st Sgt rank was at 30K not 20K+...oh well that is an even more depressing jump to next rank..I only have 3K left to leave the 1st Sgt behind...
