So I just found other places to play where I could have a better chance of ending up on a decent team. There are those couple of maps which lend themselves to an unbalanced situation if the teams are a little out of whack.

I'm still in favor of eliminating all uncaps...
Good Lord, you're so much like me that it's eerie.

The creation of these petty little rules is silly. Spawn rape has been in the game since before DC, and it's unlikely to change.

I hate playing on those 'no spawn rape' servers. The US never makes it off the carrier because the J-10s are smashing the boats and choppers instead of bombing the nublets sitting on the deck.

As others have pointed out already, there are servers (Internode, for example) that ban vehicular baserape but allow kit baserape.

I think this is a reasonable rule, as baseraping in a kit requires skill and stealth, plus a bit of luck I suppose (stupid enemies or commanders help ;p).

I got 1,000 kills over a weekend baseraping the carrier. I am doing my job to prevent these USMC punks from capturing my airfield.

No its still rubbish. Example; I was playing 64 player Dragon Valley as PLA the other day on some Swedish server. They had an AH-1 flying at the end of the PLA main base runway blowing up helis and jets as they spawned. I spawned as Support with a PKM and stuck a few rounds in them so the big girls flew away to repair, giving me time to get to a J-10. As soon as I was in the J-10 I chased them back to the Essex and killed them as they repaired over the deck. Then I did it a couple more times :). Then I got kicked for, quote: "being a Jet Whore".

How is it OK to rape a base that doesn't have a no-uncap (they made no attempt to get the flag), but their base is inviolate?

As far as I'm concerned, anywhere on any map is fair game, with any weapon. If you don't allow this, its far too easy for admins to abuse their position because of artificial and subjective rules.

Obviously not every server owner thinks baserape is bad

It's not called base raping. It's called suppressing the enemy!

When will you noobs learn? :wall:

Doesn't anyone like the idea of making all spawn points capturable? That would eliminate the argument.

They did it for a reason. Most maps have a 'push' element, and having a permanent respawn is simply there to give the illusion of additional forces, reinforcements if you will. If you didn't have that, maps like Karkand would have to be changed so that MEC didn't start with all the flags, which would change the nature of the maps (they'd all turn into a rush to the middle like Zatar). If DICE really wanted to resolve the issue they could fix it with a simple name change (from 'uncappable', to 'unattackable'), but they haven't done that. Plus, the fixed weapons you find in uncap bases, including TOWs, indicate the developers expected them to be invaded.

If you really wantend to solve it, then play better because people come with names like spawnraping or nootube because thy can't handle it.

and just want another nerf because it's only suits them.

let me tell you a secret:

I get killed 3 times in a rw I just move on to a other spawnpoints or just wait if they planes and arrtillery has come buy.

ALSO YOU CAN"T BE RAPED ON CARRIES BECAUSE YOU CAN ALSO SPAWN IN SIDE THE CARRIE and on the MIAN LAND, DONT"T SPAWN EVERY 15 SECONDS BUT MABY 20 SECONDS BECAUSE MANY CAMPRES ARE JUST LOOKING EVERY 15 SECOND ON THE SAME SPOT, AND MABY THE HOLDING THE JUMP KEY READY WOULD HELPP.

TO ALL THE FREAKING NOOB WHINERS ABOUT THIS: ADEPT OR MOVE FROM THIS GAME BECAUE YOU ARE RUINING SOMEBODY ELSE FUN OR GO TO A SEVER WITH RULES.

The maps would definitely have to be adjusted a bit, Karkand is a great example.

Mind you, I'm not actually advocating these changes, I'm just throwing out some other alternatives to this recurring base raping argument that comes up all the time. Personally I think people should quit crying and start playing better. If you are in a situation where you're pinned in a single location it is a result of poor team play. I've played Wake many times where the carrier has never been a rape victim, because it wasn't allowed to be by the team. The team put enough pressure on the Chinese that they had to focus their efforts elsewhere.
