if your team can't get to any other base, should we all just wait outside of your mian for you to come out or group up?

NO. It's your teams' own damn fault, so quit whining.

One thing that really ****es me off about servers that ban uncap baseraping is the fact that some allow commanders to arty uncaps. In my experience all this does is open the door for commanders that sit there and spam the airstrips all day long when they could have used it to take out the squad that's capping a flag instead.

Also, the game gets very lopsided in a typical map where USMC loses every CP and is stuck at their carrier. Now I know that the losing team should pay for losing every base but I really don't like the idea of being stuck at the uncap waiting for the tickets to bleed off. 99% of the time USMC never captures another flag so I believe that getting stuck at your uncap should signal automatic defeat or there should be alot more vehicles present at your uncaps so that the almost defeated team has a chance of making a comeback.

In other words do what PRMM do in their extraction mode?

        PRMM rocks.

              Ya know...

The most simple way to implement "protected" uncaps would be to have asymmetrical out of bounds. Each time would get boundries that cover the battle field and their own uncap.

              *poof*

              No more uncap caming.

Re: EA should implement this to prevent ppl from attacking uncappable flags like carriers

You could always have a hot spot on the commanders arty tool, basically when he selects his arty drop he puts the cursor over the Carrier or Uncap and it has a No Entry sign appear on it, around the radius of the carrier/uncap.

I agree with parts of it, carrier raping is just not fun for the defense but there is plenty of space on uncaps to escape a tank, most uncaps (not carriers) have 2 spawn points i.e China on Dalian has the hanger end spawn and the tank/apc spawn point.

Karkand has 3 points for USMC.

So if your dumb enough to keep spawning on an uncap when a tank is there thats your own stupid fault :)

                  every flags the same imo.

its ok for the usa team to bomb the airstrips on maps like dragon valley, kubra dam e.t.c, how is that any different to the mec/chinks bombing a carrier or red circle ? ok so red circles cant be capped, but i see no valid reason not to attack it.

it is wrong of the game to spawn you in front of tanks and enemies tho.

Most of the flags are US invading, so the armies will of course strike back to drive them back. If its something like Sharqi, US should stand and wait the attack.

I don't care about uncaps...usually every arty or attack on them results in a mass execution of plane jockey/vehicle whores...so in reality...your making the BF2 world a better place

There is nothing wrong with attacking uncap flags. Nobody should have a "safe" place to spawn and hang out and get vehicles.

jusy have the out of bounds thing extended for each team perhaps, one sides red zone is extended to cover the enemies uncappable but it wont affect them

Freedom of movement is what the Battlefield series maked itself populair.

That some players and serveradmins let you think that attacking uncappable flags is some kind of baseraping (or whatever lame excuse they come up with) is just their age and/or frustation...

The only map that is suitable is probably Wake Island 2007.
I agree 100%, if your loose all your bases. your diserve to get raped. It gets you better in the long run, trust me.

very true, EA and Dice already cater to the NOOBS enough and we dont need anymore of that.
