EA should implement this to prevent ppl from attacking uncappable flags like carriers

Now, as we all know ppl do have to habit of raping uncaps in tanks, APCs, choppers and planes. Really kind of sucks when you spawn at an uncap only to get blown away by a tank.

Why not implement a kind of zone limit for uncaps where if you kill someone in an uncap with a vehicle you don't get any points or get negative points? But if it's outside the zone, of course you get the points.

What do you think? I think it will make ppl think twice about raping uncaps esp those idiots who always rape carriers in their planes and choppers resulting in US team unable to get to shore and make the game unbalance. Example is the Oman map. If US team can't get to shore, the game becomes unbalanced and MEC can just sit on the beach and get a nice tan. Same for Karkand and whatever maps with uncappable flags

Here's my thought: If USMC loses all the flags in Gulf of Oman or fails to capture any flags in Dalian Plant, Dragon Valley, or Zatar Wetlands, they deserve to get raped.

The only map that is suitable is probably Wake Island 2007.

Hmm........Interesting. Why's that so? Mind backing it up with some reasons? :)

Poor base defense is not the fault of the attacking side.

There really is no way to defend the base if you get killed 1 sec after you spawn.

That's right servers that impliment this rule usually don't defend their base very well. Servers that don't have this rule are usually the ones where everyone uses good teamwork and protect everything from the begining to the end.

If the enemy have swarmed the map and are now at your doorstep generally the team have only themselves to blame. On maps like Wake where baserape is more likely and easy the disadvantaged team get extra tickets to compensate for this. But arguably the USMC have the advantage on Wake as all PLA flags are cappable. And again if you ban attacking uncappables then balance is again upset as some teams don't have an uncappable flag on some maps, this gives the side with the uncappable an unfair advantage in that they can hold up in the "safe zone" of an unattackable base.

Unforunately the usual cause of baserape is unbalanced teams, with those wanting points, wins, and good stats being on the team with the geographical advantage.

Although I've been on the recieving end hundreds of times I think your point is moot. The issue is how to balance the teams fairly. Ban or penalise baserape and the action will take place elsewhere, but the result will be the same.

Re: EA should implement this to prevent ppl from attacking uncappable flags like carriers

Gulf of Oman: The USMC has 3 - 4 flags, one flag more than MEC's CP that can be captured; These flags are closely connected allowing a large-scale movement while nearly a third if not half of MEC's armors are allocated in their Airfield.

The problem is that in many cases, less than half of USMC players are on the mainland; thinning their ground power as the other half are waiting to fly aircrafts and helicopters. Such implies a team that has no chance to win by conventional means.

Same scenario applies to MEC; They deserved to get raped if USMC captures all the flags.

As for the other 3 maps, all the capturable CPs (two maps provide USMC with one capturable CP) are neutral at the beginning. If USMC or MEC fails to even capture one point, whoever that team is deserves to get raped; Out of 4 - 7 flags, you're telling me the entire team could not capture one? Heck, in Dragon Valley and maybe Zatar Wetlands, USMC already has a CP based on the mainland.

If you play BF2, and you don't know how to defend, you deserve what's coming to you.

wow...I find this post kinda funny...

My opinion: War is H3ll. Anything goes.

If you seriously can't defend a uncap, escape one, and you just get p!$sed off at people who camp...then leave the server. kthxbi

Or they should have a spawn system where you don't span directly in front of a APC, tank or enemy troops.

On Karkand, they can camp the ally and get easy kills. Or course you can spawn at a different flag. But for me it seems like the respawn system is just oh well.

And there are some servers that enforce "no uncap raping" rules. Just logical to play on those if you don't wanna get uncap raped.

No problem with being taken up the jacksy in my base by someone in kit gear if my team has been owned legitimately, in fact congratulations for getting my team in that position and having the nads to wade in there. Sitting in a tank at a uncappable spawn point knocking off people before they even have a chance to say "Golly there is a large tank shaped objects main gun pointing at me" is another story. Baseraping in a Tank, Jet, APC or attack Heli is not clever but retarded stat padding and quickly ruins a good game (especially as mentioned above when the teams are grossly unbalanced and of course all those who worry about stats rather than having fun are trying to switch sides at a furious rate).

This is why I play on no baserape in vehicles server (of course there are many illiterate people out there that cannot read the rules but that is another story for another time).

                            In summary
Baserape in normal = well done
Baserape in Vehicles = would like to torture you for fun (no offence I'm sure there are fine upstanding citizens that condone this sort of behaviour but just let the bloodrage control their thoughts at the time)

It's a nice idea but it should be a server side option. There should also be a difference between infantry baseraping and vehicle baseraping. I for one like the idea of playing the game the way it was meant to be played. In my experience, uncap baseraping rules just hurt the guys that will inevitably be baseraped by idiots that can't read the rules even though they had to stare at them for 2mins upon connecting. It sucks knowing that you can't retaliate against these people. What would really tip the balance however would be better base defenses at uncaps. Every uncappable airfield should have several AA guns akin to the essex for swatting away pesky jets. The current minimum of two is just pathetically absurd. If you wanna baserape the enemies uncap, you should expect to come in for a fight and not a massacre.
