I'm just about to get First Sergeant - about 150 points short at the moment, so that should disappear the next time I play. But I have to say I don't think I'll ever get promoted again after this. I need to get to two-and-a-half times my current score for the next rank? Can't see that happening...

At the rate I play (average is about 40 mins per day), all the ranked servers will be shut down before I can log that many hours anyway - never mind if I actually get bored before then or not!

I just made Gunnery Sergeant recently. I found that going for the basic badges made me a much better player. Obsessing about them removes all of the fun from the game.

If you want the rank really badly play 100 or so hours as medic on a 64 player city map. You gain points like there is no tommorow.

Heh. Wait until you face the 30,000 point mountain for Sgt Major.

I just became 2nd Lt Weenie yesterday by finishing the last 1500 or so points with a 12 hour marathon in command.

I normally play less than 10 hours a week so that is about...5 maps an hour at about 20 points a map. The math breaks down 30,000 global points to roughly....... *taps calculator.... 6 months.

I think a year from now I will either play this game off an on if they fixed it right or be in some other online game that has modern war.

Start applying to play Commander every chance you get. You will get it more than you think...I wish I had started sooner. You can get a lot of points with good teams, and it is a lot more enjoyable than chunking 'nades over the fence on Karkand....LOL ....Just play Commander, don't try to play a regular position. Trust me, there is plenty to keep you busy.

try for a mod or join a clan...then u wont stress over rank...one of my freind plays 21st century warfare...it is amazing (But i dont have time for it)
