Bot Strategy

Good Evening Everyone!
As my first post (in this seemingly civilized forum) I would like to know if anybody out there would know how to fix the problem in which, with size 64 maps enabled, bots never go into new, 'opened up' territory. All though it has its upsides (deserted bases with tanks, apc's, jets, helicopters, and the rest of the arsenal) it makes it quite boring at times in that small space. I hope to post plenty more in these forums since I can see they are very active and organized. Happy c4'ing!

Edit: First post, first mistake.. Just found the modding sub-forum (shoulda posted there) Sorry!!!

Edit 2:On some forums you can change the style of the forums (color, shapes, etc.) Can you do that w/ this one? I looked a bit but couldnt find an option. (I have a projector so the contrast between the words and background is horrible!)

Welcome to the forums!

I think there is a mod or something that replaces the ordinary bots with custom made ones, that are much better (and smarter). I don't know where to find this though, hopefully someone else here does.

Don't think you can change the background and stuff on this forum, its the totalbf2 color. But again, i havent looked specifically for this.

If you're tired of those old stupid bots, then go online and have some fun. Bf2 is all about online gaming, not playing on some lame 16-player map.

welcome to the forums and let me point you in the right directions,for what you are looking for.

i run a dedicated server with bots and use custom karkand ect so the bots use the whole of the map in 64 size.

yes its big 555mb but worth it and it will not overwrite originals they have been renamed to kark_sixty and sharki_sixty and lots of others all with sixty in the name.

also if you are geting bored and would like to spice up youre coop server try this great website for sp maps.

GO TO C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels and drop them in there :)

thats the only way you can get bots to use the whole of a 64 size map.

ea did not navmesh the levels for 64 size map only 16 size.

but thanks to some great mappers they navmeshed wider areas in full 64 size maps.
