BF2 CD Key

I recently lost my CD key for BF2, and i was wondering if anyone knew if i could just ask EA or DICE for it, since it's probably registered in their databases somewhere. If you know of anything else, though, please share it with us. Please dont send me links to anything illegal, or possibly illegal. I have searched the forums, and couldn't find anything, but if there is something, please link.

PS: I know its on the back of the manual, so please dont tell me that. Also, this can be moved if needed. I just wasn't sure where to put it other than here.

I beleive your CD Key is stored somewhere in your registery.

Well, i had to system restore to factory settings, so i lost everything. I also tried asking EA, and they didn't reply. If anyone can help with these conditions, i will be your friend forever. Thanks for moving it to the right spot, Mr. Super Mod.

Usually, EA will ask you to send them your disks, and 10 dollars and they'll send you a new CD key I believe.

I tossed out my original manual, and then had to reinstall Win XP on my gaming rig. The bad news is that you have to write EA and send them a $10 money order along with an original game CD. The good news is that they're quick about it...I sent the stuff out on Monday last week, they emailed me the new CD key on Thursday, and I had the game CD back in the mail on Tuesday (a day late thanks to Memorial Day.)

Sucks, but it beats shelling out $50 for a new copy of the game.

You should just be able to contact them and supply the codes from the inside ring underneath the cd. Most games ive lost cd keys with ask for them codes and give me a new key.

EA sadly doesn't follow that policy Would be a much wiser policy, but it doesn't make them any extra money I guess, and is an extra precaution about people jacking extra CD keys I suppose.

OK, lol... I just got 5 replies telling me to do the same thing. Where do i contact them? Do i e-mail them or ask a question using the form. Also, how long does this process take? I want to play some scrims with my clan later this week, and was wondering if buying just another would be worth it, since i would be able to play with my clan this weekend. Thanks for the feedback.

ok, thanks. i guess with all that making sure its exactly right stuff, it would be more worth getting just another copy, or waiting for that specail edition thing. Send it by insured post. IE Fed Ex. They will compensate if they lose the disk.

Well, the store i got it from (on-base BX, aka small wal-mart) had it and SF for cheap, so i just got that. thanks for the help, though.
