    TOW shooting ...

Hey, I've seen people posting about shooting TOW toward a specific direction and wait... to hit a very far target.

    Example : RAF92_Warhawk found out this : http://media.putfile.com/TOW-technique

Or another guy posted about TOW on Sharqi, cant fnd the thread though...

Anyone who try and find out a nice TOW shot like these could record it and post it here.

    Good luck.

I dunno where this thread should be , maybe it should be moved in "Tips and tricks" section. I want to try but dont have FRAPS (full version)

sometimes for far away shots as squad leader I'll put a squad 'move' arrow where the target is - helps me aim when the target is out of view distance. the problem is aiming the correct height of the target.

16-Player Dragon Valley, you can TOW the USMC chopper from the Village flag.

16-Player Zatar Wetlands, you can TOW the chopper that spawns at the middle flag (from MEC side).

16-Player Dalian, you can TOW the Chinese tank from both USMC TOW locations, same with China.

16-Player Dalian, if China gets a good spawn at the beginning of the round, the china tank rolls up about 15-20m and can pixel the USMC jeep right off the start.

Most of the "secrets" are pixels. On 32-Player Zatar, I've tank shelled the MEC jet's in their hangers from the middle flag on the hill. You can also pixel the Zatar chopper at the middle flag from the USMC main way in the back. Just have to take the time to practice this stuff.

what exactly do you mean by... you have to pixel?

and can i do this with an anti-tank missle. if i aim it at a certain angle, will it come back down?

          Re: TOW shooting ...

pixeling is basically just looking at your screen. if your in a certain spot, setting up for a specific shot, you put your crosshair on a certain spot, your shell/missile should go there everytime.

Let's say I'm on Zatar and I'm at the middle flag (32 player) with a tank. I pull up to the east side of the hill (farthest part facing the MEC main) and park next to the building by the chopper pad, but on the other side of the building. I aim above the oil rigs (or whatever they are) and fire off a round. Since you're aiming high, the shell has the room to "dip" so to speak and hit the MEC mig in the hanger.

If I knew how to use fraps and make vid's I'd show you some weird shots. You don't see these shots in pubs very often, but in competition you'd see them every once and a while.

So, in a nutshell, it's just something on your screen. Put your crosshair on a spot and fire. If you're initially aiming at a tree branch or something, and your shell hits something when you aim at the tree branch, that's your pixel.

You're trying to hit something you can't see or can barely see in the distance using the environment closest to you. If you want to tank shell something you know is 500m away, you find something on your own screen to aim at, taking into account shell trajectory and distance, and you fire. You keep searching for that one thing to aim at, so when you come to a point in time to use it, it works everytime.

            Also known as aiming off..............

As for long range TOW shots, simply aim into the air then guide it down, its far easier to lose height then gain it

I've seen a nice video from the [20ID] clan...
They can 1-hit kill tanks using the TOW from very very far (much beyond visual range). I don't know where it is, but it's worth watching

its just practise, the tow site at Suburb on Karkand, can hit the Mec tank spawn at gatehouse

just find an empty server and go commander and check where your tow is going, best way to find out and adjust the aiming
