Well, I have an X600, and my shadows are fine, havent noticed any blockiness

Hmmm, does'nt the x600 have 4 pixel pipes compaired to 16 on the x800. This would require a different driver to run.

Quite aggravating since not a problem with version 1.22.

^^ same exact thing happened to me on one of my disconnects. I haven't hit or pounded any of my gaming controllers in about 15 years, but I slammed my keyboard when that happened. This problem is terribly annoying. As far as I can tell I have 3 different problems caused by this patch:

CTD: after everything loads the game ctd this happens quite often

Can't Connect to Server Errors: These happen when I try to join a server. Sometimes it tells me to check my connection, sometimes it tells me my connection to the server was lost. This happens ALL the time. If I keep trying to join it will connect me though.

Disconnections from Servers: About every other game I play, anywhere from 20 seconds to 15 minutes, I'm instantly disconnected from the server. It doesn't pause or anything, just boom- back at the join server screen with the disconnection error.

I've tried all the "solutions" none of them work. I keep trying to play because I love the game so much, and the more this happens the more I get frustrated. It's driving me nuts.

I too load the whole game, pick a server, wait for it to load then around 50% of the time I CTD and have to start again. It is better via SF(though not exhaustively tested), and one thing which does help is pressing <esc> instead of "Join Game" - this seems to prevent the crash more often than not. Just a workaround, though, the game should be fixed.

I also get seemingly random connection problems during the game - and always when I am on a charge.

If they want poeple buying armored fury they'll fix this **** in a hurry. I know i am not going to buy another booster pack while i'm getting disconnected 13 times a map.
