Problem with Connection after 1.3

This game runs flawlessly, Thta is until this latest patch, now nearly every time i play i get a connection issue mid game.

Anybody else ?

Any idea how to solve it ?

I get some as well as many others. I don't think there's much of a solution since the problem has got to be with patch 1.3.

i havent firgured any way to fix it, but its startin to p*ss me off, before 1.3 i had a total of like 5 CTD's, now since patch 1.3 its gone up to 14 or 15 CTD's (total)...piece of crap patch

i now can't play for more than 5 minutes with out getting disconnected

Same here with the connection problems. I'm trying to figure it out but I haven't had much luck so far. Interestingly, one of the things I altered during the effort to pinpoint the problem was the 'pb_sleep' setting. I changed it to 500 (seconds) and that equates to 8.3 minutes. Why is that interesting? Well, because I always get the connection problems after slightly more than eight minutes of play time.

I've tried a few of the solutions that other people have suggested, such as unchecking the QoS Scheduler, manually updating PunkBuster, even unchecking EAX (which apparently worked for some people) but so far ... no luck.

Anyway, I'll keep trying because I've read a number of alternative 'solutions' and I haven't experimented with them all. If one of them succeeds, I'll report back here.

had the same issue .....i turn off my firewallproction and that work for me!!!!!!

ther alot of issue with the new patch...1.tag's change's to enemy 2.helicoter pad when you land you blow up.

Let's add me to the bloody connection problem.
Can't play more than 15min.
Never had a single issue til 1.3, not even an single annoyance.
So bf2 1.3 sucks and messed up my perfect dream game.

Yeah its annoying me aswell, seems to be totally random, sometimes i play i can play for about 2 hours fine, other times i can play for like 20mins and ill get it.

Yeah, im having the same problem. Every time the server changes maps it says "Lost Connection". Losing connection during gameplay and crashing to desktop I got seriously fragged at one point because of stuttering gameplay even with a ping of 62.

Have also noticed that shadows are now blockly (i have an x800xl) Does anyone else have this?

Well, I have an X600, and my shadows are fine, havent noticed any blockiness but I did get the lag thing. Im using the Vista Public Beta version that just came out, and it would run good for like 2 or 3 minutes, then I would get a lagging, or stuttering, effect and would have to turn it off. but that was two days ago, and since I just screwed up vista yesterday morning and had to reinstall it all day yesterday, it runs BF2 perfectly smooth now, with higher graphics than XP
