Well, last night I downloaded the live cd of Ubuntu, and was going to install it on the leftover space of my HD, with my friends assistance.. but while on the live CD, partitioning the drives we had to go back to windows for a second. But it said error loading OS, so now here I am on linux because I accidently formatted my F:\ drive I guess (which had windows on it).. but linux is pretty cool, so Ima keep it, and i was just wondering if I could run BF2 on here somehow? or if you could make bf2 not look for the CD? so that I can use WINE?

You can run BF2. I've played it on Linux using Cedega. However you will have a hard time finding servers as you wont be able to play on PB enabled servers, Stupid PB
I think there is a couple of servers dedicated for Linux users.
As for the error "error loading OS" A few questions.
Have you installed Linux or are you just running a live CD?
Was "boot loader" mentioned anywhere?
It may be that you have just installed a boot loader by accident (if you are still running the Live CD that is) you can fix it by loading up the recovery console from your XP CD and typing fixmbr which will replace the MBR with the windows default one. If you have installed Linux and use the fixmbr method you wont be able to access your Linux partition.
BTW theres also a tonne of games for Linux, may not be as graphicly pleaseing but still fun.
