BF2 vs BF V. Any diffrence?

Ive been playing BF2 now for about 2-3 weeks. Im getting good enough to hit top 4 for scores for my team. ( even have a gold, silver and a few bronze stars ). Now... as i play.. i love being a chopper pilot that picks up ground troops and flys em into hot spots to grab a flag.. and when its clear.. come back in and pick em up to fly em off to the next flag.

Now.. thing is.. nobody gets in the chopper when i land at one of our flags where we have like 4-5 guys running around in circles waiting for buggies etc.
Is it because the chopper sucks and has no armor, or is it just bad luck?

When you play.. do you look at the chopper coming in as a great way to move around... or do you see it as a death trap? If anything.. i seriously think that those choppers need more armor.

Id like to know.. was it like that in BF V? Is that game dead now that BF2 is out? I love the ideas of vietnam.. and if it plays anything close to the way BF 2 plays.. i would love it. But im affraid that nobody plays the game anymore.
Does anyone still play it? Is the game worth the 30 buck purchase? Or is it a really bad mod thats out there... and its really not worth my time.

I won't fly in the choppers unless I'm piloting it. Too many people fly without regard for the AA, choppers, and jets, (IE flying low over long distances and into high traffic areas) and they end up in flames.

Never played BFV.

BFV is still played, and worth buying if you're into the Battlefield series.

And too many chopper pilots are morons, like above post said, so don't expect too many people to fly with just some random guy.

Ive played BF:V and the risk of being shot down in a transport chopper is a lot lower. I use to fly troops from the main base to flags and I would only get shot down two or three times a round if as long as I turned back as the low health alarm came on.

A few people probably play the game, it was pretty good but it never caught on. I would go out and buy it if it seems like something you would like.

I personally think the transport choppers are death traps now, whenever I ride on one I get blown up. The jets, attack choppers and AA are just too much for it.

Being good in a helo makes all the difference. It can be a death trap, or a killing machine. In BFV especially! If you could come low in one larger helo (sorry i don't know the names, there were 2 that i remember, the smaller one only had a pilot and a gunner at your side) you could kill the other team. But that's if you can take some AK fire and rpgs lol. Yes bfv is worth picking up, great game.

there are only a couple of servers on BF:V compared to how many there are on BF:2 but i own BF:V and i love it and play it all the time and the choppers are fun to fly in that one too, altho my only beef with BF:V is that there are no iron sites :hmm:
