This has happened to me twice today, new round on karkand starts says im in a squad when I never hit join, so im like w/e ok ill just leave it so another person joins and he becomes squad leader wtf? so I hit leave and I cant leave, I try to join another squad you must leave the squad your in now................ wtf?

Squads aren't broken up when a new round starts, or even a new map..
Also, you can only leave and join a squad when you are alive, implimented in the patch, IIRC. -

You should always be able to leave a squad, even while dead. Its just you can't join a squad while dead unless the round has started.Originally posted by D|sso

It's a well known bug. Supposedly a server restart fixes it, but aside from that just disconnect and reconnect. That'll fix it.Comment

It's a bug, I have been stuck in a squad I didn't join as well. Very annoying, it's exisiting since 1.0 though.Comment

Yes. This happened to me, whether I be alive or dead I could not leave a squad and create my own so I could give the commander what I thought of him over VoIP. Not only making me mad at EA and Dice, I was also PO'ed because, 'tis the only way to really get some commanders' attention.Comment

Same thing happened to me last time I played. My game showed me as leader of squad Alphan, but nobody else could see that squad. I couldn't leave the squad regardless of whether I was alive or dead.
My thinking is this: If I have to leave the server and rejoin in order to fix this, I'm leaving and going to a different server. That's crap.Comment
