need help patching

i just got BF2 recently since i lost my old copy.ive tried downloading so many patches but one way or another they stop working.i donwloaded 1.3 and it installed up to 1% total and 88% on the bf2.exe but never goes higher and then patch crashes.when i tried v1.12 it says patching failed.i tried v1.2 and it goes to 1% total and 2% on the bf2.exe.maybe my patches are getting curruted because im using a download manager but i need to because my internet disconects frequently.
does any1 have any suggestions?

you shouldnt have any problems with a dl manager i use one myself when dl large amount of data.

i myself have never had to uninstall bf2, been close to it,
but if u are having all these problems, just dl the full 1.3, if u dl that one u dont need any ony patches cos all past patches are inside the full 1.3.

only other thing would be to remove all traces of bf2 and restart PC and then apply bf2 and its mods then 1.3 patch full.

ive been lucky and just applied the small patch, each time.:)

Just wondering, do you run an antivirus program?

If so, try turning it off then patch.

yeah my norton antivirus is running,ill try disabling it ans then apply the patch

yeah well i just finished dwnloading the 1.3 patch again and it starts patching for like 2 seconds and then says patch failed.i dk what the hell im supposed to do
